PDX!

Look who’s in town for a few days! Hashbrowns parents! They will be looking at a few different grad schools in the area of the next few days. So what did we do to welcome them back to Colorado? Eat! Fire up the grill and the Traeger. It was a beautiful spring afternoon to cook out. Only missing sister, who will be here soon…

GMM- The Bakery

Let’s Mob! And Mix things up! In Greeley! It’s the April edition of the Greeley Mob Mixer Bakery edition. Great turnout at a new cute little bakery in downtown next to Roasty’s. Our usual fan base turned out, with a few new faces and a few that haven’t attended in a bit. The wound vacuum also made an appearance. Thanks to everyone that made time on a Wednesday night. Next up: Bulldog Grub and Pub.

Look! Things!

Continue to heal a little more everyday. I had my wound vacuum removed last week, which is another solid step forward. I have lost almost 18 pounds since March 11. I can’t wait to start feeling like myself again. Here’s some stuff from the last week or so!

A well deserved award for ALLO…teachers night out at a comedy show about teachers…the Colorado Dance Collective’s Spring showcase and VIP reception…a ribbon cutting in Greeley…family day over the weekend…a few action shots from the Women’s Walk.

LWC-Public Safety

Sadly, we had our final Leadership Weld County class last week. Where does time go? It seems like just yesterday that we gathered together on a cool, crisp September morning to start our journey together. I;’ve learned so much, connected with so many new people, and strengthened many other relationships. I was humbled and touched by how many people in the class were worried and moved by my adventure the past month. It really touched my heart.

We spent the morning touring the Weld County Jail, learning about the Sheriffs Department and SWAT. Lunch was at the police station seeing the K-9 unit in action and learning more about gangs. We closed the day at the fire department. The reenactment of what would occur during a cardiac arrest and the response from the FD gave me a little PTSD. Then, fire hoses! Graduation May 15!

Uncle Wes!

Look who we were able to catch up with this week! Uncle Wesley is in Colorado for a church leadership conference in Ft. Colins for a few days, and we were able to get dinner scheduled with him before the conference started. It was so good to see him, if only for a few hours. We were glad Andrew and Ari were able to join us as well.

I’m Back! (Slowly)

Putting my toe back in the water for a few events and activities this past week or so. No where near the energy level I was at in February, but that time will come. I did spend my first full day in the office on Friday, and felt pretty good. Have the wound vacuum attached for another week or so. Home health nurse said the wound was looking good when she checked in on me on Thursday. He are a few shots from some recent events…

While I wasn’t at the Brighton State of the City, I kinda was…my first Rotary meeting since I’ve been back…I love being in Greeley Lifestyle magazine and their Facebook page…my first ribbon cutting with the Greeley Chamber also since I’ve been back…the UNC Women’s Walk.
