WOTY

The past 5 years I have been much more intentional about goal setting and planning for the upcoming year. The past several years, I have also selected a “Word of the Year” for myself that I can focus on, meditate on, and cling to throughout the year. As I complete my goals and select my word, I wanted to post this partial list that I found for future reference.

Winning

Every year on Christmas Eve, my good friend Matt has breakfast with his family at a different location in Greeley. He leaves a few clues on the 477 Distilling Facebook page, then its up to you to figure it out. Last year I was a few minutes late, and walked away with a hat and bottle. This year I wasn’t going to be shut out. So I arrived at the Hatchet House at 930 and was…3rd in like. BOOM! Top 4 get $100 gift cards. Thanks Matt. Merry Christmas.

The Guys

One of the blessings and unexpected delights of the past 2 1/2 years has been the group of guys I have gotten to know, all centered around our friendship with Paul. Last Thursday was the first time all of us have been together in person since December of 2019. We had a great evening of opening bottles, cigars, pizza, and when our group arrived from Denver, VooDoo Donuts and a few magic tricks from Paul. And yes, that is a $500 bill and a piece of currency from Iraq.

Teachers

I love my teachers in District 6! This year from Christmas, I blessed each of the educators in the CLD group with a new mug with my new logo on it. Looking forward to working with them again in 2022.

Meow2

I was able to make a second trip to Meow Wolf last week with Paul and the group. We were given a private-ish tour by Paul’s girlfriend, who is the social media director for Meow. I was great to walk through again, and begin to have it make more sense. Looking forward to a third trip with Sister over Christmas break. I was thrilled to find the “book room” on the second trip, which I missed on the first. I can’t imagine what I will discover on the third trip! If you haven’t made the trip to Denver to experience Meow Wolf, I can’t recommend it enough.

Wine

To kick off Christmas vacation, I had the privilege of hosting a wine party for the group. My friend and business associate Roni Lee was the hostess. We spent a very enjoyable several hours tasting wines, pairing the wines with various snacks, and laughing quite a bit while we got to know each other better. Thanks Roni Lee!

December 2021!

So much has been going on this month, and once again I find myself behind on blogging. So here come a few posts with photos from the month. Enjoy!
