Events

As the old Sesame Street song goes, “one of these things is not like the other. One of these things doesn’t belong.”  Can you spot it? That’s right. It’s me. Surrounded by women. I was able to attend 2 separate events this week, one on my own and one representing the agency. The first was a book swap sponsored by a local realtor. Traded a few old books for some new reading. I was the only guy who showed up. The second was the NoCo Women in Business. My boss couldn’t attend so I stepped in for her. Quite a week!

Youth Group

We had the privilege of opening our home to the annual end of summer youth group fire pit and celebration. Such an amazing group of young people who are so kind, thankful, generous and friendly. Each of them looked me in the eye, shook my hand and said thank you. Great kids!

Ribbon Cuttings

Been a crazy busy week professionally. I was able to attend and represent my Allstate agency on Tuesday at Windsong, a new memory care unit that just opened and today at Tower56, a new distillery that just opened downtown. These weee posted on Instagram through the Greeley Chamber of Commerce page.

Weezer

Like I said in an earlier post, Snapchat has been a pretty good way to stay in tough with Noah. It’s also helpful if you want pictures from other family members and they refuse to take them. So I just take a screenshot of their Snap. Andrew took his girlfriend Eve to Denver last night for the Weezer/Pixies show at Fiddlers Green. Always makes Mom and Dad a bit nervous when their son drives to Denver. Grandma too. But he of course did great, had a fabulous time and made it home safe.

Luna

Our cat. Having a pretty good life.

YRYLA-2

Here are a few more pictures from Sisters trip to YRYLA last week. Her brother got to pick her up. The other pictures are her with her Jr. and Sr. counselors.

BAA-Crabtree

It was already time from another Business After Hours last Thursday with the Greeley Chamber. This months host was Crabtree Brewery. It was a great turn out for the monthly get together of business professionals and community leaders. The monster from Monster Day even made an appearance!

PDX

Snapchat has been very helpful in keeping in touch with Noah. Most of the time he just sends snaps of himself on the way home from work, or in the back room at Batteries+. But occasionally he sends some good ones like he did last weekend. His favorite band, Streetlight Manifesto, was in town. Not only did he attend, but he got a poster and a set list! Nice job son. Glad you are having some fun in Portland!
