Success in 6 Awards

 ALLO has been a proud sponsor of the Success Foundation here in District 6 this past year. Last week they held their annual “Success in 6” awards, which recognizes various leaders throughout the district. As a sponsor, I was asked to present one of the awards, the Leader Among Leaders. There was a nice reception for the 300 or so teachers, staff and administrators before the presentation. I was hoping my friend Sean would win, but sadly isn’t to be. Always fun to run into fellow AOTY Jolean. Still had fun, repped the brand, and checked off a portion of one of my goals for 2024! 

Things n’ Such

 Just a few randoms from the last week or so. Had a nice family meal on a lazy Sunday afternoon. A man and his cat. A “Pint on ALLO” at High Brau tap house. Spring Break is coming! AIMS day luncheon. Reading some trivia on a Wednesday night at TightKnit. Some more love for ALLO from UNC Men’s Basketball (still haven’t seen an invoice for that….). 

PDX- Kids

 Look who bumped into each other over the weekend for brunch! Always makes a dad’s heart happy when they are able to find some time to cross paths and catch up.

GMM- Litl Bit Bar Edition

 Took the traveling circus that is the Greeley Mob Mixer to Litl’ Bit Bar and Grill for another amazing night of networking, connecting, and of course some fabulous door prizes! Another great turnout, so we have booked 6 more months of event spaces. Sadly, one of the OGs, Emilo, has moved on from the Mob. So now only Katie, Phil and I remain. Onward.

Courtside

 Pretty great seats, huh? Scored courtside seats and Champions room passes for the UNC/Portland State game. Brought along one of my favorite UNC alumni to cheer on the Bears. We kept asking the PSU players if they were in class with Noah Roth, but didn’t get an answer. Thanks for spending two nights in a row with me, D! 

Stuff

 What a week. Cold, cold, cold. Jen only had two days of school, but the ALLO show must go on. Ambassador meeting Tuesday. I had a full Wednesday with Leadership Weld County and Rotary. Watched Jen’s FCA team bowl after a ribbon cutting and before heading to the Moxi for the Blues Jam announcement on Thursday. Popped on the radio Friday morning with Wendy from the CDC to hype up the Taste of Downtown next weekend and chased that with the DDA monthly meeting. 

Let’s GRIT

 It was ALLO night at the Colorado Grit! Lined up over 100 tickets, secured our GM for the puck drop, another coworker to play the National Anthem, and even got 6 people to play the intermission game! I guess you could say the evening was a complete success. Oh, and I got a picture with Moo-Moo! Oh, and Andrew and Ari made the game with their friend Hector and a coworker of Andrew’s. 

Slow

 Wrapped up a “slow” week in the dirty G. Jen back at work, cold and snow rolling in, and a light schedule of events and activities this week. Had fun at the all club Rotary social, a couple of board meetings (530 on a Friday???), the Greeley Mob Mixer, and the first visit of Nathanael to the cigar club. Proud of that kid for hanging with the guys! Also some illnesses in the PDX, and an already much need three day weekend.
