Rox Win!

Although Nathanael and I weren't there to see it, since we left in the top of the 9th to beat all that Rockies traffic. Plus sittin in the sun in 90 degree heat kinda wiped dad out. Thankfully in the 3rd inning we moved seats. I'll gladly trade 1st base for shade! But it was still a fun day at the ballpark with Than and some friends from work. Hot dogs! Funnel cakes!! $10 Coors tall boys! But the Rockies win, with a walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th. We were there for Cargos grand slam though!

"10 Ways..."

The play last night was incredible! It was funny, scary in places, quite a few pop culture references, and the highlight being Shayla hitting on zombie Nathanael. Great make-up jobs on the kids too. Can't wait for night #2 tonight!

Spinning

Finished teaching another successful 5 weeks of spinning at the Funplex last night. Hard to believe I've been instructing for 20 months now. It's been great to develope relationships with the regular attenders and welcome rookies into the spinning cult. Class greatly improved in the last several weeks as this guy has started showing up on Thursdays. While we aren't the athletic, pedal-pushing dynamos we were 5 years ago, we can still have a good time on the bikes, stationary or otherwise.

Zombies

It's GO! time. The kids have been in intense rehearsals for three weeks now, and are ready to present their summer production of "10 Ways to Survive the Zombie apocalypse" tonight and tomorrow at Frontier elementary. Showtimes are at 8 each night. Please feel free to come either night and support the drama department!

Fathers Day

Get day yesterday celebrating everything there is to be a dad. We made it back from Pueblo in time for church and the review of the mission trip from youth pastor Mike. Still amazes me even after 5 years of the incredible things that they are able to accomplish in 8 short days away from home every year. I arrived home to find a fresh batch of my favorite cookies that Sarabeth had made from Grandma Roths recipe. In the heat of the day, we walked to the Tavern for some dessert and cold drinks followed by a viewing of "Walter Middy." Got to talk to the folks for about an hour and finished the day watching Cleveland win the championship. Great day! Thanks everyone for the Fathers Day wishes!

Dad

Happy Fathers Day, dad! Thank you for the dad and grandfather that you are. Not only am I so fortunate to have a father like you, but my children's lives are better because of the man that you are in their lives. I'm sorry we don't have a fence to work on, but maybe sometime we can have a catch. Happy Father's Day. I love you.

Pueblo

Now that Jen is home from Europe, it's summer concert season!! We are on the road to Pueblo today for Bands in the Backyard. The headliner tonight is Three Doors Down followed by Kid Rock. Almost time to let the good times roll!

Vail

Nathanael had the good fortune today to spend the day in Vail at the Ritz-Carlton Club with his friend Shawn. They spent the morning in the teen club (???) followed by an afternoon in the pool!

Henry-Wrap Up

The adults on the missions trip have gotten home, rested up, and are posting lots of great pictures from the trip. It has been fun to hear each of the boys take on the trip, things they learned, the different experiences they had, and the memories they shared. Here in no particular order are quite of few of the guys!
