5K

I had the privilege this past Saturday to be the ‘Pace bike” for the annual Frontier Academy 5k. Being the Booster Club President has some perks! The winning time turned out to be 15:30 from one of Noah’s former classmates. Second place was his friend Wilson. I also got to lead the kids fun run, where Coach Wood captured these pics while waiting for Mav to run by.

Commercial

Our Mob Mixer group continues to grow and evolve. After our most recent successful event at Rule 105, we were offered a chance to produce a professionally done commercial! Phil over at Bike Shop Studios wrote the script, scouted for just the right place, and filmed our crazy group last Thursday. Here are a few behind the scene pictures from the shoot. I’ve seen the rough cut and its pretty fun.

D

And finally our last first day of school for the 2021/22 school year. Here is Little D entering his sophomore/junior year at UNC. He is still on track to be a third generation graduate. Go Bears!

Ruthie

Another first day of school picture, this time for Ruthie as she starts her sophomore year at UNC!

Monsters

I was able to spend a few hours downtown on Saturday volunteering with the Chamber for the annual Monster Day. It started several years ago as an anti-bullying day where little kids could dress up and learn about standing up to bullies. It has sort of evolved into a pre-Halloween free-for-all. Except its in the middle of the day when its 95 degrees out. Oh well. Still fun to hang out with my Chamber friends and serve the community.

Leads

Our Chamber Leads group on Thursday is also back in full swing. Misty has been doing an incredible job of signing up new investors and encouraging them to join us at our weekly meeting. Meeting in person at 477 sure beats meeting on Zoom from my basement.

Longmont

Made the trek to Longmont last week to continue to help my friends get the Longmont chapter of Tabletop launched. I was able to meet about 12 new people to put into Salesforce and my pipeline. I don’t know if I mentioned that the “30 Day Pause” at Merrill that began on July 31, 2020 was finally lifted on August 5, 2021. 370 days, for those of you counting at home.

Mom

We were able to celebrate mom’s birthday last week as well with a little celebration in the backyard. We tried our street tacos on the Traeger with all the fixings. We are still so thankful that mom is calling Greeley home and we are able to see her and invite her over whenever possible. Hope it was a good birthday mom!

Gig O’clock

Andrew’s band continues to play gigs around northern Colorado. A few weeks ago they played a private party for the Dutch Bros staff. Last night they were in Denver. In two weeks they will be playing as the headliner for the 20th Anniversary of Youth for Christ.

First Day

Here is si on her last first day at Frontier. Our family started in the fall of 2004 with Noah and ended a year earlier then expected this fall with sister skipping her junior year. Here’s to a better year then the past two.

Jennifer also started her 13th at Frontier. Only 2 more until that new iPad!

19

Happy birthday son! We are so proud of you. For his birthday dinner, he requested tri-tip on the Traeger. I’m pretty pleased how it turned out. Thanks grandmas for providing the dessert.

Railroad

Mom, Jen and I made it downtown on Saturday for a very special day at the Colorado Railroad Museum: “Star Wars Day.” We started the morning with coffee and breakfast at Aunt Helens then walked through the Farmers Market. Highlight was finding some CBD treats for Baxter (I hope they help chill him out). We then spent an hour or so walking through the museum. I can’t recommend highly enough!

Brisket

Still enjoying the Traeger! This was last weeks end of summer for the teachers celebration. I wasn’t real pleased with the pre-bought rub. Felt it needed more “kick.” But everyone enjoyed and had a great time.
