Denver-Kids

The second tour group consisted of Kim, Wes, Kaleb, Sarabeth and Grandma. They spent the day at the one and only Denver Children's Museum. Sarabeth did a great job taking Kaleb around to the many hands-on exhibits and showing him the ropes. They made stuff, blew bubbles and learned about recycling.

The two groups all met back up for a great dinner downtown at Sams #3. I guess it's sort of a tradition now that we eat there whenever we are in Denver together. Then it was on to Zoo Lights!

Denver-DAM

Thursday was our groups big day in Denver! We decided to break into two different tour groups. The first group included grandpa, Noah, Andrew, Nathanael, Jennifer, Amanda, and Ryan. They spent the day discovering favorite new pieces of art at the Denver Art Museum. It is such a neat place to visit. While the Paris exhibit was sold out for the day, we were still able to see quite a bit of art, and cover quite a bit of ground. Ryan only got yelled at by security once, for coming closer then 8 inches from a painting.

Christmas Day

After a 4 hour present opening marathon, the next project including preparing a nice dinner for 11 people. Jen did a great job, with lots of help from mom and Kim. The men mostly tried to stay out of the way. The kids spent the day playing with their new presents. Wes napped. Sarabeth and Kaleb decorated some more cookies. All was well until we realized that sometime during the day the crock pot with the turkey breast in it had gotten turned off. So we didn't have any turkey to enjoy with our dinner, only a spiral cut honey glazed ham with all the fixings!  Ryan washed dishes. It was a great day!

Grown-ups

The six adults also had a very good Christmas morning. Evidentially, we all like to read, cook, dress warmly and cheer for the Denver Broncos. We also really like signed books and pictures of our family. It was an amazing Christmas. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a wonderful and very memorable Christmas hoiliday!

Sarabeth

Sister also had a great December 25th! Lots of warm jammies, blankets, hats, scarfs, and girl Legos! She also got some cash from Grand Junction and amazon money to buy her Battle of the Books books. Her first Dave Matthews Band t-shirt was a special gift from her dad.  She was also a big helper with Kaleb and his presents.

Nathanael

Nathanael had a pretty great Christmas. The telescope will be put to good use as he seeks out what the universe has to offer an eleven year old. With his own Kindle, he can read more books and play more games without having to share screen time with Sarabeth. It will also be fun to watch his garden grow. Cash from Grand Junction never hurts either. The Doctor Who shirt was also a pretty sweet gift from Sturgis!
