USA Men's Hockey

Well here we are again. Big win a week ago, and now trying to repeat the feat. Since our brand new TV is broken AGAIN, and won't be fixed until Friday, Big Andrew and I are sneaking over to Jim and Janets to watch the game at 1. What could be better on a Sunday afternoon then beer, best friends, and a gold medal hockey game??

Chillin'

Sister relaxing after dinner, swimming, and some fresh brownies and milk. Been a great night here at Aaron and Sarah's! More pictures to follow tomorrow!

Clean

Even had time to get my truck washed today. Best use of the company's money this week! Well, except for that gift card they gave me on Wednesday.

Period 3, Week 1

Well, it was a long week on the route. The roll-out meeting on Wednesday really set me behind for the week. Then Albertsons decided on Friday at noon to drop the price on Lays. So both of my Albertsons needed a pallet built today, in addition to the large loads I usually take out for the weekend. End result was a 57 hour work-week.

I ended up running $16,292 on a plan of $14,370, beating plan by $1,922. Stales were terrible again this week: $605. Dang it. Just can't quite get on top of it. Ready for a couple of days off now.

Celebrate

Jen picked up the kids, fed them dinner, and I met them at AWANA. Then we decided to have some Ryan and Jen time to catch up and celebrate Ryan's successful 2009 at Frito. Might even have 2 beers!

Oops...

My friend just got pulled over by one of Colorado's finest. Thankfully it was only for following too close and not for the 86 MPH Shawn was traveling. He also didn't have his insurance card. We were also lucky that the Highway Patrolman didn't search the truck and find the unlicensed firearm that was under my seat. Just kidding. Or maybe I'm not...
Kind of a bummer way to end an otherwise good afternoon.

WINNER!!

Wow! Frito was running a contest for the first 6 weeks of 2010. We had to sell a bunch of chips, keep the unsalables low, and a few other things. If an RSR won both sides of the contest, they would win $200. Look who is listed as one of the four winners in the entire zone!! Go Ryan Go!!

Perfect!

Just picked up another award for perfect attendance in 2009! I was one of only 7 RSR's in our district to show up each and every single day, rain, snow, sleet or shine, everyday, all year long.

Thanks to my dad for setting the example of hard work and the importance of being at your job everyday.

Big Big Boss

Here is the Zone Sales Leader himself, Romey. He is driving the motorized cooler that was given away to one lucky RSR. I love the pink hula skirt!

The Legend

Ron and I. Like standing next to the Godfather himself. Thanks for taking a chance on me all those years ago.

Are you Smarter than Ron?

Station #4 is a Frito history challenge against Ron Lopezi himself. It is like competing against Herman Lay himself. Ron is a legend and the boss that hired me 10 years ago.

Trivia!

Station #3 is a trivia contest. Out display from the previous post actually turned out very nice. Maybe there is a chance.

TMD Building

Our district isn't doing well. Maybe if I was helping instead of blogging. This is a contest to build a big display in less than 5 minutes. Go team go!

Games!

Let the games begin! Our district starts at the pop-a-shot. Go District 964!

Ryan Roth just won $30 for having the 2nd best Albertsons in the zone!! Way to go Ryan and Route 96835. And thanks to Albertsons for all the display support in 2009!

Coffee #3

Finally, after sitting for almost 3 hours, we got a break. And I got more HOT coffee. Meeting starting to drag along. Hopefully only 2 hours left.

Our big boss basically said 2010 hasn't started very well. We are already missing our sales plan by $365000. Ouch. Better sell a display tomorrow.

Shawn

My buddy Shawn just won $30 for having the top Diamond Shamrock in the zone. Great job Shawn. Hopefully some of that mojo rubs off on me!

Coffee #2

Joy! They finally filled up the coffee pots and I now have a nice, hot cup of coffee in front of me. Meeting going well. Time for the awards part. Go Ryan and Route 96835!

Coffee #1

Finally found some coffee. I was so excited! Then it touched my lips....and it was freezing cold. Sadness overwhelmed me....

Decorations!

The Ft. Collins Zone team always does a great job of setting up the room. This years theme is Hawaii/Luau. Heading over to get my first cup of coffee.

Lunch!

Great lunch today. And it appears they have plenty of coffee! My DSL just walked by and handed me a new shirt too! What a great meeting and its only 11:45.

Swag

Here is where I will be sitting for the next 4 hours. At least I got some cool stuff this year. Hat, new mug, frisbee for the kids, and some bags of chips!!

On the Road

Several of my co-workers and I are on the road to Wyoming for the yearly Frito-Lay Zone roll-out meeting. We have lunch, then spend several hours talking about where we have been and where we are going in 2010. Then we get to have team building time by playing games against the other districts that are there. They hand out several awards and maybe even a free shirt! Ill try and post updates throughout the day!

Presents!

After the great dinner at Old C's, it was back to 3506 for the opening of the presents. I'd like to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity. All my gifts were so thoughtful. I especially loved the card from Wes and Kim with Hilliary Rodham Clinton on the front. Great card Wes!

The large picture I am holding with the Wild Things hanging from the vines is the design of the tattoo that I will be placing forever on my body. I hope to start in sometime in March. Jen met the tattoo artist and really liked her. I'll keep everyone posted as the big day draws closer.

Birthday Dinner

The party moved over to Old Chicago for an early dinner in order to beat the dinner rush. Our family, mom and dad, and Big Andrew enjoyed appetizers including my favorite Italian nachos, pizza, calzones, and cupcakes provided by mom in lieu of a birthday cake. I also enjoyed some of the finer beverages offered by Old C's, including a couple of Snakebites and a "Brain Hemorrhage" given to me by Big D. The kids were all pretty impressed.

Mom

We all love Mom LOTS in a very BIG way! So what better way to show her that then with a BIG, HUGE, AMAZING, WONDERFUL card??? Also included was a gift card to the Human Bean, so she can get a little pick-me-up on her way to Frontier. We love you MOM!!

Love from Sturgis!

Uncle Wes and Aunt Kim were very thoughtful and surprised all of us with a big Happy Valentines Day box directly from Sturgis!! The kids were thrilled with the candy they got, Sarabeth loved the teddy bear, Jen loved her box of chocolates, and I devoured my chocolate covered caramels! Thanks Wes and Kim!

Happy 33!

It was a great birthday last weekend in Greeley. Jennifer, the kids, my folks, Wes and Kim, and the in-laws all pitched in to make it a very special weekend. I was thrilled with the many special gifts, cards, well wishes on Facebook, birthday dinner at Old Chicago, and time with family and friends.

Sunday morning started off with a few cards from Jen and the Kids. Sarabeth gave me a home made coupon book, Jen made a nice breakfast, and I was stunned and surprised with the gift she picked out for me. Usually I find out before hand, or one of the kids slips and tells me. But not this year. Jen decided it was finally time for me to get the tattoo that I have been wanting for several years. WOW!! What a great blog post that is going to make!
