Aladdin

After several months of practice, the Frontier Drama Department presented "Aladdin" to the public on Thursday night. Mom and dad were able to make the quick trip to Colorado to attend the premiere with Andrew and I. What can I say? When you are playing the Genie that was voiced by the late Robin Williams, the bar is pretty high. And Sarabeth nailed it. I don't mean to play the proud parent card to hard, but she was the star of the show! She knew all the songs, voiced all her lines in a confident and loud voice, and was able to adlib when things didn't go quite as planned. She simply shone. Amazing performance sister. I can't wait to see what the years ahead will bring!

Vacation Day 2-Rush!

Here is the collection of photos from the Rush game. It was crazy fun! Free ice cream!!!

Vacation Day 2

It was a great day here in South Dakota! Since we finished moving all the items Wes and Kim needed help with, we just spent the morning hanging at their house. I helped put a new bookcase together for Wes, and the cousins played together while Wes and Kim visited with some friends that stopped by. Wes and I spent the afternoon at BAM then made a quick stop at Firehouse Brewing.

The Rapid City Rush were in town, so Sarabeth, Nathanael, Wes, dad and I headed to the game. It was so much fun! The kids really got into it, and once the South Carolina primary was over, so did Wes. There was just so much going on, not only on the ice, but in the crowd too! Didn't catch a shirt, but won free ice cream for our section!

Vacation-Day 1

First vacation of 2016! Loaded up D, Than and sis and headed to the Black Hills this morning to help Wes, Kim, Jaleb and Elsie finish moving into their new home. Other then the 50+MPH winds the entire way, the drive was pretty uneventful. Actually it was silent. Kids read or slept or played on their devices. Practically had to beg to stop in Lusk for a snack. But we made good time and worked all afternoon to big in some big pieces of furniture. Kim made a wonderful family dinner and brownies for dessert! Great first day. Eight more to go...

Too much fun for one blog post! See below for a full explanation. We even saved Noah's presents for him to open when we got home. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Thanks again mom and dad!
