Flash Mob

One of the many great ideas that came out of the annual ambassadors meeting was creating a monthly “flash mob” that could show up at a local business, buy some products from that business, give them a great social media opportunity and generally encourage them and thank them for being a chamber member. We had our first one yesterday at Aunt Helens Coffee. Great turn-out! Look for another mob in March.

Ribbon Cutting

Another day, another ribbon cutting as a Chamber Ambassador! Sadly, only had 1 other Ambassador show up, who turned out to be the 2019 Ambassador of the Year. But no matter, keep representing Greeley and the many amazing businesses in the area!

Agency

Here’s the morning view of the agency. Very rare sighting of snow in this picture. Been terribly dry in Gtown this winter.

Post-game

Why should the party stop just because the Gala ended? We joined the city manager and his wife for an after party cocktail at Tower56. They were doing a Girl Scout cookie pairing that night, so why not? And hey Roy, it still sucks, to be, a CSU Ram. Go Pokes!

100

The Greeley Chamber of Commerce celebrated 100 years last week at their annual gala. As an ambassador I got to wear a silly hat and sell raffle tickets. Jen was able to join me after getting out of P/T conferences. Sarabeth was even in attendance helping serve with Key Club.

Instagram

I don’t usually use/check/post on Instagram, so I was pleased to find this today while I was scrolling through. Thanks babe.

Happiest

Following up the Summit, I drove across the street to the monthly “Windsor’s Happiest Hour,” which is a monthly networking event hosted by a realtor I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know the past couple of years. It’s another monthly event to show my face, continue to build trust, and meet a slightly different group of business professionals.

Summit

Wednesday was a long day of being on my A game. Our agency purchased a booth at the 2019 Northern Colorado Realtor Summit. So I spent the day “shaking babies and kissing hands”. I made quite a few great contacts, including some key mortgage brokers and real estate agents. The keynote speaker at lunch was very inspirational. Time to follow up on those hot leads!

Ambassadors!

Had a lot of fun at the monthly Ambassadors meeting for the Greeley Chamber. What a great group of business professionals to serve the community with. Oh, and I didn’t win the Ambassador of the Year. Sadness.

Prayer Breakfast

Jen and I were invited by the City Manager to sit at the city of Greeley table for the annual NoCo Prayer Breakfast on Saturday. We were joined by the mayor and his wife and a city councilman and his wife. We had the privilege of hearing from Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame.

42

Birthday this year was pretty nice. I took 2 days off of work to be able to enjoy a 4 day weekend. I attended Rotary and had Happy Birthday sung to me after I shared my Rotary moment. We tried to have dinner at Wing Shack, but it was crazy, so we ended up at Fuzzies! After dinner, since I was driving, I decided to do something spontaneous and drive to Denver to get donuts at Voo Doo! Presents from WKKE, mom and my in laws rounded out a pretty good day.

Busy

Quite a day of networking. Some days are like that. Started the day with the Greeley Chamber Business Before Hours. Was able to give my “commercial” to almost 80 people. Lunchtime was the month GARA meeting. Greeley Area Realtor Association. Once again gave my commercial and represented the agency to 40 people. Finished the day by providing coffee to 20 teachers in the ESL class. So, all in all, almost 150 people heard about me and the agency today. That must me worth something, right?

Cute

Just one more picture from last weekend because it’s just so cute. Kids...they grow up so fast.

Tattoos

I guess things are going pretty well up in the Pacific Northwest. So well, in fact, that son the oldest has chosen to commentate his time there with a new tattoo. This is his fourth. And I bet it hurt.

SD Three

All good things must end. Noah landed back in Portland last night about 930. He was welcomed home by several inches of snow! Which in Portland is a pretty big deal. Hope you had a great weekend son. You deserve it.

SD Dos

Looks like things are going pretty well in Cali. When I went out this morning to get the newspaper, it was -12. Noah said it was 62 in the big SD today. Sadly, all great things must end. He will be back in the PDX tomorrow night.

San Diego

No, not me. Not the family. Just son the oldest. He booked the trip last fall to help cure his “seasonal depression.”  His friend Shayla picked him up at the airport last night, and off they went!

Boys

This picture came up in my TimeHop app today. Look at those little boys. Ages 5, 3 and 1. Maybe a little less. Love you guys. The one on the left is on his way to a weekend in San Diego with his ex girlfriend.

Whew!

Quite a day! Had 2 networking events knocked out by 845 this morning and a third after work. Started with the fundraiser for the Greeley Philharmonic at 7. Neat things they are doing in the community. Nathanael needs to get involved with the junior ambassadors program. Then rushed across town for the Evans Chamber Business Before Hours. Finished the day at a friends new business opening at ReMax Commercial. And then ended up at the Frontier boys varsity game to close out the day. Tired!

Champion

No, not the Broncos on Super Bowl Sunday. Me. I won the Wood family fantasy football league this year. Not only did I win some cash, I also won the traveling trophy. And that’s not all. I also won the prop bets with 15 correct answers. Hope I’m invited back next year. Mav even had a lemonade stand that Jen helped run! Way up in Portland, Noah had a program for his residents. He said a few even showed up.
