The dinner is over, the dishes are done, and the pie is almost ready to be dishes out. Time for a couple of games of Apples to Apples. Could get crazy! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

While waiting for dinner to be ready, little Andrew and Janet are involved in an intense game of checkers.

Believe!

Crazy finish. From ESPN:

DENVER -- Tim Tebow's 20-yard touchdown run with 58 seconds left capped a 95-yard drive and sent the Denver Broncos to a 17-13 victory over the stunned New York Jets on Thursday night.

Tebow saw the blitz and outflanked safety Eric Smith around the left edge, then cut back and bulled his way past other Jets into the end zone.

The Broncos (5-5) are 4-1 since Tebow replaced Kyle Orton.

The Jets (5-5) lost their second heart-breaker in four days. Mark Sanchez's desperation pass toward the end zone was batted down as time expired.

Nick Folk's 45-yard field goal broke a 10-10 tie with 9:14 remaining, and the Broncos found themselves facing a daunting task when they got the ball back with 5:54 left at their own 5.

New York safety Jim Leonhard could have throttled Denver's winning drive on the first play when he wrapped up Eddie Royal in the end zone on a throw to the right flat, but Royal wiggled free for 8 yards.

Tebow ran just twice for 11 yards until the final drive, when he carried seven times for 58 yards in a performance reminiscent of his miracle in Miami, when he was ineffective for 55 minutes, then led the Broncos to two TDs in the final 5 minutes of a game Denver won in overtime.

After completing just two passes in a win at Kansas City four days earlier, Tebow completed 9 of 20 passes for 104 yards Thursday night.

"I said before, I trust him. I trust him with everything," teammate Von Miller said about Tebow. "No matter how many interceptions he throws, no matter how many touchdowns he throws. I'm going to ride him to the end. I hope he shut up a bunch of his critics today."

Winning. Fun. Believe.

End of 3rd

This is a sad, cold Broncos fan. Even after a pick 6, the offense can't quite get it started. One more quarter for some Tebow magic.

Halftime

While Jesse James entertains the 70,000+ here at halftime, the Broncos and Jets are all tied up at 3.  Quite an offensive shootout.

End of 1st

Quick first quarter, and the good guys are up 3-0.  450 miles away, Kaleb is cheering on his favorite team!!  Let's go Broncos!

Campingdad!

The season ticket holder himself rocking the Lynch jersey tonight and trying to stay warm. Might be down to 42 degrees by the fourth quarter.

Gametime!

A night game at Mile High is always special!!

Pregame!

Thursday night football on NFL network!! Let's go Tebow!

Crazy

Last night at AWANA was the annual crazy hair/hat night. Nathanael decided to wear 5 different hats, Sarabeth wanted blue and green hair color, and thanks to Grandpa Roth, Andrew wore the dancing singing Christmas tree hat. Crazy!

W.A.T.C.H. Dog

Had the privilege of helping out all day yesterday at Frontier as the WATCH DOG. I got to attend class with all three kids, eat lunch with them, help the teachers with reading groups and various other projects, and patrol the building and grounds. It was a great way to spend my day off. The kids loved having me there too! Once again, so thankful for Frontier and the amazing teachers and staff.

Broncos Win 17-10!

With 55 rushing plays and only 8 pass attempts. But somehow Tebow leads the team to a win and a 4-5 record. But in our backyard, Nathanael is getting ready for baseball season. Thanks grandpa Roth for the batting tee!

Food!

We hosted Noah's 13th birthday party at the house Friday night. He invited 5 of his friends over for dinner, dessert, energy drinks, snacks and video game playing. We think they all finally fell asleep about 2 AM.  And with that, birthday season comes to a close. We now have a 13, 11, 9 and 7 year old in 7th, 5th, 3rd and 1st grade. Pretty good planning on their parents part, no?

Armed

Let us now confer with the Book of Armaments, chapter 10, verses 12-16: Thou shalt have airsoft guns, and thou shalt be armed, and thou shalt fire them, not at people, no, but at objects that are not living, and thou shalt have a pleasant time with thou airsoft weapons. Maybe next week we will try the Holy Hand Grenade.

Wish

I hope the wish that you made when you blew out your candles was a good one Noah. Welcome to your teenage years. Always remember that mom and I love you so much and nothing you say or do will ever change that. Happy birthday son.

Presents!

As you get older, your presents get smaller and more expensive. Instead of a room full of toys, you get bags and cards. Thanks to grandparents Roth and Gonzales and Uncle Wes, Aunt Kim and Kaleb for remembering Noah on his 13th birthday!

NOAH

In honor of Noah turning 13 today, Jen thought it would be fun to embarrass him a bit at school today. So at lunch she had this balloon and candy bouquet delivered and every one in the lunch room sang Happy Birthday to him. It was great. There might even be video of it floating around.

Art

One persons trash is another one's art project!  Sarabeth asked if she could have the empty box that the bed frame arrived in yesterday. Of course you can I told her. After a few minutes of coloring, she had turned it into a person! "Look daddy!! Now we can tango!" she said as she preceded to twirl around the living room with her new dance partner.

Dad

So, I've been wondering what exactly dad has been doing during retirement to help fill up his days. Evidently, according to the sign that appeared in our yard last week, running for office in Aurora this fall.  I didn't hear if he won or not last week though.

Lunch!

Little D asked me nicely this morning to bring him lunch today. How could I refuse?? We enjoyed Dickey's BBQ pit while everyone around us had hot lunch or a bagged lunch from home. Little D is a lucky kid!
