VP

There she is!! Sister had her first board meeting for the Success Foundation last night. She was voted on/selected for the VP position for the coming year. Nice work Sis!

Food Bank

I took the leadership role for our Ambassador group and lined up a morning of service for those of us that could attend a few hours at the Weld Food Bank. Today was the day! We ended up having about 12 of us sorting tomatoes and peppers for a couple of hours. It was so great to see people in person at the same time serving the community. I’m honored to serve alongside such a great group of people! Hope to have one more service day before the end of the year.

Wiley

We had a pretty enjoyable Saturday afternoon as we gathered with Woods at Wiley Roots for a few beers. Jen had picked out a little Halloween thingy to put together with Mav. And guess what? They did it? I helped with the google eyes!

Random Networking!

We are slowly venturing out into the networking world these last few weeks. That might come to a screeching halt moving forward with the governors new order that he issued yesterday. Regardless, here are a few pictures from our Leads group first in person meeting since July 2, a ribbon cutting with the Windsor Chamber for my friend Dr. Tyler Terry’s new business, a Facebook promotion for Tabletop, and our first Ambassador meeting in person since March.

Board Member

Congrats to Sister on her selection to the Junior Board of the Success Foundation!! I know you will do great things as you hone your leadership skills while serving the Greeley community. Nice shirt you choose for your picture!

Denver

Made a quick trip to Denver today to get mom’s bloodwork done. Since I wasn’t blogging when dad passed away, here is a picture of the hospital that he passed away at. I was glad mom and I could spend a few hours together and catch up on all the goings on in the world. Thankfully the fires around Estes are slowing down. They are expecting a foot or more of snow tomorrow which will be a huge help.

Fires

Estes Park is being evacuated as I type this. They have closed Highway 34 so that more people can make it down the canyon. These are a few pictures from this afternoon near our house in Greeley. The weather is changing thankfully. I’m so done with 2020.

Ash

The fires near Greeley continue to burn. It is now the largest wildfire in Colorado history. It’s 2020, so of course it is. Here are some pictures from the front yard of the ash fall overnight. While I was driving home, it almost seemed like it was snowing. We are hoping for much colder weather and significant snow in the mountains over the weekend.

GPO

I’m pretty much done with the fire, smoke and ask that has been a part of our lives here in Greeley for at least the past several months. The fires continue to grow larger and move closer to Greeley. Friday was a particularly bad day, with ash fall on our patios and cars. We braved it all to support the GPO at another outdoor concert. Thanks Nick Kenny for arranging it!

TableTop

It’s so nice to be back in person for a few networking events. One of those is TableTop Networking, which is help once a month a various locations throughout Northern Colorado. I’m so pleased that the leaders/owners have asked me to play a small part in making the event better each month.

20

I’m now the proud parent of 2 20 year olds!! My, oh my, where does the time go?

Happy birthday Little D. I love you.

We celebrated with a beautiful brunch with all of D’s favorites. He even brought a few friends along. Grandma Roth made it too with her buttery Carmel quicks!

Early Bird/Worm

Back at it after taking a few days off. Always fun to be the first one to arrive at the gym, turn the lights on, and get the party started. We worked on chest today and spent 20 minutes on the treadmill.

Laramie

Made a quick trip back to Laramie today so mom could visit her physical therapist that she likes so much and has done so much for mom. We also stopped by the cemetery, 179 Corthell and the Kearney Street house. I popped into Coal Creek while mom was at her appointment and this was how smoky it was. Just awful.

Portland!

Here is the latest from the kids in Portland! Always a good day when you are brunching at 3 in the afternoon.

Catch-up

Missed posting yesterday’s results, so here are two days worth. We did back yesterday and leg day today! I’m doing very well on closing my circles daily and not so well on reaching my step goal. I need to add in a second “workout” in the afternoon or evening in order to hit 10,000 for sure, and some days even 7000 is a stretch. I am feeling stronger after being back in the gym for over 4 months now. A little disappointed in my ability to lose some of my COVID weight. Especially now that I’m not drinking. Oh well. Onwards.
