The Big Apple

We made it! We found Wes! We used Gett! We didn't get mugged!! Been a great 5 hours in New York City. Managed to get to the Hilton Midtown. Walked around looking for an authentic local restaurant. Decided on Chinese! It was perfect. We were the only three white people in the place. And the only ones speaking English. Might go back tomorrow. Then it was off to Times Square! It was everything I thought it would be and more. I've been watching the live streaming cameras for months since we started planning the trip. Ran into quite a few interesting folks, including the people dressed up as characters and a black guy telling really awful, racist jokes. We had to tip all of them. Can't believe we have 7 more days!
