Sagamore Hill

Another stamp in the National Park passport! And a tough one for folks from our neck of the woods to acquire. We were able to visit and tour Sagamore Hill, the home of Teddy Roosevelt. It was a pretty big bucket list item for Wesley! The grounds were just beautiful. Peaceful. The weather also cooperated, with temps in the low '50s and sunny. We walked the grounds first, followed by an hour long guided tour of the house, much of which is in original condition with all of the families original belongings. Including 6,000 books. Sadly, no pictures allowed in the house. We wrapped up the day by walking through the museum and a stop at the gift shop. Our Uber driver back to NYC graciously stopped at the cemetery so we could visit Teddys grave. Back to the Big Apple!
