Between spring snow storms, Andrew made it downtown last weekend for a Key Club event. They joined several other organizations in a trash pick up activity throughout the downtown area. If the weather clears up a bit, he is scheduled to help out again tomorrow. Here's hoping!

Spring Formal
First off, thanks to our friend Kim for not only hosting the girls getting ready party all day, but also setting up the studio to capture these amazing pictures. It was the Frontier middle school spring formal last night. The guys got ready for the dance at our house before getting dinner at Chik-Fil-A. I think the dance was a success? Thankfully only one slow song?!?!

1800...
And counting. For those of you scoring at home, yes, in fact, we did skip 1600 and 1700. Those rewards will be fourth coming in the next several weeks. For now, Sarabeth has surpassed the 1800 point total in Reading Counts. For that amazing accomplishment, she earned a trip to the beauty salon with her friend for pedicures! Such pretty nails, just in time for spring. She needs 1870 by Friday to become the reading champion. Developing...
Beauty and the Beast
Frontier just finished up Beauty and the Beast Jr. as their spring production. We were fortunate enough to have both Noah and Nathanael in it! Noah was on the production/behind the scenes/moving heavy props group. Nathanael was a wolf! Noah's "special friend" was also in it as a clock, which was one of the leading roles. They presented 6 shows over two weekends. We made it to most of them, and grandma and grandpa Roth joined us for one on Saturday. Both the boys were outstanding in their roles. Don't know what they are going to do with all their free-time now that drama season is over.

DISASTER!!
We had time for one final night on Broadway, so after much discussion, we selected DISASTER! It was a musical comedy based on many of the hits from the 1970's. A great cast, funny dialogue and, if you were a child of the 70's, great music.
Strawberry Fields
Yep, checked that off the bucket list too. So did dad! The building drapped in black to the left of the picture is John and Yokos residence. It is undergoing renovations.

Turtle Pond
Stopped for a quick break at Turtle Pond. And yes, on the rocks, were two dozen or more little turtles. Our guide said they also film a lot of Law & Order scenes here due to the shallowness of the water. That made dad happy to see a place they filmed his favorite show! Right next to the pond was the amphitheater where they hold Shakespeare in the Park every summer.
More Park
Too many pictures for one post! We continued the tour by parking for a minute and walking under the pedestrian bridge. When they began cleaning up the park, they had no idea these beautiful tiles were under all the grime and graffiti. A few brides were there taking pictures. And the ride continued to the lake.
