Happiest place on earth. Most beautiful venue. Able to attend with our beautiful friends. Well, minute one. Jen decided to get a ride back to the Dirty G, so thank you Shep for picking her up in the parking lot. Grateful for cloudy sky’s and cooler temps than the 100 last year and the expected 92 this year. Tailgated for a few hours then made the run inside. Sadly, GA started in row 47. We were quietly waiting for the show to start when the noise of 2 F-16s overwhelmed everyone. It was wild. Why 2 military jets buzzed Red Rocks, we will never know. Same two opening acts, pretty chill vibe on the Rock. The guys started promptly at 9 and rolled through 21 songs. Highlights were an acoustic cover of “Patience” and a full band “Plush” from Stone Temple Pilots. Full circle moment: STP was my first ever concert at Red Rocks with Cliff Shoefelt in 1993. Jen was missed, cards flew during “Poker” and we were home with head on pillow at 1225.
