Christmas

Christmas Day started bright and early with the arrival of Nathanael, Ruthie and Ollie at 645. I was warming up the Traeger at 715 and the brisket was smoking by 745. So many gifts! We spent several hours opening presents, talking and laughing. We cleaned up the first round then opened stockings, before making a late breakfast and enjoying some more tome on the patio. Ladies had matching PJ’s this year, guy had shorts from Buckee’s. Dinner was excellent. Card games, movies and football followed to close out an immensely successful Christmas holiday. Throughout the week, my thoughts have never been far from mom and dad, and we missed Wesley’s family this year.
