It was a very successful final class of Leadership Northern Colorado. We were joined by many nonprofit leaders in the region for a day focused on giving back. It was great to see my friend Ben, Meline from United Way and Tim from the Northern Colorado Foundation. We were treated to a very nice graduation, including a keynote address from a local motivational speaker, before our final happy hour and goodbyes. The highlight of the class this month was the final activity we did where we sat with our backs to the middle of a circle and the facilitator has 5 of our classmates stand in the middle. She the read out statements like “This person made the class better,” and “this person is a leader.” Then the people in the middle would lightly tap you on the shoulder if that statement applied to you. It was very powerful and very moving.
