Things started a bit rocky on N3. We arrived about 45 minutes earlier then we had the previous two nights in order to get everything done that we needed to. We pretty much struck out. Posters were already completely sold out (but now available on eBay for $170+), rental chairs were all sold out, and the venue was packed. We settled on some lawn near where we were on N1. I started chatting up the folks around us as I normally do. Made a few new friends. Especially this gal. Wish I could remember her name. She is the mother of a 5 year old and married to a disabled vet who served multiple deployments in Iraq. She was completing the weekend as a bucket trip. We chatted for a bit, I shared my cancer story with her and when she was getting ready to leave, gave me a special coin she had made for the weekend for her new friends. I cried. And the luck of the evening was about to change...
