Winter Park

Noah's summer of fun and adventure continued this past week with his cross country team camp in Winter Park at the YMCA. Little Andrew and I made a quick trip up there yesterday to pick up some of the team in our Ford, which is quickly becoming one of the main forms of transportation for the team this summer. They have used it to go to Colorado Springs, Water World and Manitou Springs. The trip to Winter Park took 3 and a half hours, thanks to the construction near Idaho Springs. Here is a photo of the deer we saw while traveling 10 miles in a little over an hour. Another pic of the boys and one of the view coming down the pass. Noah said the highlights of the week for him were the leadership talk and the nightly skits. They also ran some new trails, discussed goals for the season and talked about the importance of proper nutrition. Noah has already stopped drinking soda, and now wants to begin changing his diet and taking supplements. Maybe we will start blood doping and taking PED's.
