Here come the guys! After an uninspiring set from Bling Melon, it was finally time for the headliners. We were treated to a fantastic setlist, with some deep cuts, radio hits, and a performance of “Game of Poker” that caught everyone off guard. Of course there was much celebrating, dancing, laughter and even some tears. And yes, we procured foils of both nights, which saved us from having to rush into Red Rocks to grab a N2 poster. Got a setlist for Scribbs, too.
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Vail-Friday/Pregame
Beautiful, but still pretty warm, Friday in Vail. The crew found some breakfast and wandered around the village. Watched a vert brave gut climb the ladder to paint. Some folks took naps and lounged at the room. Then it was game time, and we headed to the venue to snag some seats, hopefully the night’s poster, and settle in for the show.

Vail-Thursday
Time to get out of town for a few days, because boy oh boy, will there be a lot to come home to (see final picture). The Crew loaded up two cars and headed to the mountains for two nights of OAR. Not to be all old man, but that traffic on I-70 on a Thursday afternoon was something terrible. Took 3 hours to get to Silverthorne. It was worth it when we pulled into Angry James for a beer and lunch. Then made the quick drive to Vail and checked in. Wandered around the village, had dinner and drinks, and threw some cornhole (Sean skunked Scott and I 5-0). Ended the night with cigars and beers at the pool.
Father’s Day
It was quite a bit different Father’s Day this year compared to years past. Last year in Portland was just so special, and probably one of the few I will get to experience with my kids all together. This year was spent at home, with A and A and N and R popping in throughout the weekend. We laughed, ate food (because of course we did, that’s what this crew does), played cards and smoked a stick. We also managed to spend some time with the Crew and made final preparations for the OAR weekend next week. Also, Jen does tire of my taking pictures of her all the time.
