We were promised the storm to end all storms this weekend in Greeley. Waiting...
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Live Music!
Andrew has been busy with quite a few things in 2021...school, dating Ari, living his best life, cooking, and playing percussion for a new band. Friday night they had back-to-back live shows at at club on East Colfax in Denver. He nailed the sold-out shows and will hopefully be able to perform with this particular band in the future. When he isn’t killing it onstage, he’s still working at the Tavern and cooking some amazing dishes at home!
Food Bank
Our Leads group for the Chamber was able to serve the community on Thursday by spending a few hours at the Weld Food Bank. I sorted 250 pounds of onions in a little less then 2 hours. It was great to be together in person with some of my favorite people!
PDX!
Look who the ladies found!! Day number 1 was successful, with a low-key time in and around Portland. Jen was recovering from her shot and was able to get a good nap in. Upcoming adventures include a trip to the ocean and maybe Multnomah Falls.
On the road...
Look at these two lucky travelers who were able to escape the upcoming blizzard and head to the beautiful Pacific Northwest for the weekend! Also thankful that Jen got her second COVID shot before the trip. Have fun ladies!

Rotary
We had a great Rotary meeting last week at the Colorado Railroad History Museum. Michelle, the Executive Director, was a very gracious host for the evening, as she gave a little history about the museum, an extensive tour, then let us roam around for awhile. We will definitely be back, either as a family or just Bonnie and I. What a cool place!
Ifit
Just catching up with a few of the challenges I have completed in the last few weeks. It is kinda fun, and rather addicting, to complete a challenge, then get an email from iFit stating my magnet is on the way! I am attempting to finish 4 challenges this month: 2 on the bike and 2 on the treadmill. So far in 2021, I have completed 78 workouts on my way to 500 for the year.

Dance
When it was announced that the City wouldn’t be hosting the annual Daddy/Daughter Dance in 2021, it was a huge disappointment. But then I thought, “Why don’t I get together with a few other dads and host our own dance?” So that’s what I did. Three weeks ago, my friend Matt, Paul, and I hosted a super secret underground dance at a local venue. We had a photographer, a DJ, snacks and a craft. There were about 20 dads and daughters that attended. My friend Scott invited his three daughters, and the 6 of us enjoyed the evening together after a very nice dinner at Kennys. Here is this years picture!

PR
As in, personal record. I started a series on the spin bike that included a whopper: a 90 minute spin through the suspension bridges in Japan. So I locked in yesterday and pounded it out. Pretty pleased that I finished in the top 100 and maintained an 18 MPH pace. My bottom is a bit sore this morning. I believe this is one of, if not the, longest ride currently offered by iFit.

V-Day
Well, it’s appears that Little D had a great Valentines dinner with Ari. Quite a chef he has developed into over the last couple years. Thanks for stopping by for a few minutes to wish me a happy birthday on Sunday!

44
Happy birthday to the Blogfather himself. 44! Wow. It was just a year ago today I was walking around downtown Portland waiting for Noah to get off work. I had heard rumors of a virus while I was preparing for my trip. It was a little creepy to see 2 people in the airport wearing masks. Crazy!
Thanks for the fun get together last night, Jennifer. I enjoy the time with our couple friends and Roy. Thanks for the party today, complete with Wing Shack and presents! It was a good weekend. Now time to pound out 40 minutes on the bike to earn a special Apple Watch badge.

Radio Star!
I had the privilege of co-hosting NoCo Now yesterday on 1310 KFKA with my friend Nick Kenny. It was a pretty fun two hour show, talking about everything from JB’s closing to the unrest in Myanmar, GameStop stock, books and the Super Bowl. We even had special guess Sean Scribbick on for a segment. Thanks again for the invite, Nick. Hope to do it again sometime!

Rotary
Our Satellite Club was finally back in person for the first time since...the end of October? First week of November? We were joined at Crabtree Brewing by master magician Paul Noffsinger of the Mystery Collection. He shared his story of moving from banking, to working at JBS, and finally into becoming a full time magician five years ago. He shared a few of his tricks and kept the audience guessing. Thanks for sharing your magic with us tonight, Paul!
