2020

Wow. What a year it has been since I last posted. A very good friend suggested I start blogging again, and I think that is a very good idea. I don’t really know where to start, so maybe a summary?

Mom relocated to Greeley after 44 years in Laramie.

COVID

Flatten the Curve

Wear a mask

Riots

Fear

TRUMP

And that pretty much sums things up, I suppose. Mom lived with us from her arrival on April 26 through Nathanael’s high school graduation on July 7. Noah withdrew from school. Nathanael got a job landscaping. Andrew is starting his sophomore year in college. Ryan had the grid frozen for 3 months, then two more months, then a prospecting “Pause” starting July 31 until....??? Jen started her 11th year at Frontier on a “Hybrid” (WTF) schedule. My brother became a pastor.

Whew.

Here are some pictures.

Hustling

I guess I could have created individual blog posts for each of these, but instead I’ll just lump them all together to help me get caught back up. I’ve been out on the town hustling in 2020, attending events, networking, making connections and building the know/like/trust I need to have in order to secure the business I need to this year at ML. So, here’s a collection of me doing just that!

Dance!

Sis and I attended our 11th conservative Daddy/Daughter Dance 2 weeks ago. She is now one of the oldest girls that attends, which she said is ok because the little girls need to see it’s ok to still attend when they get older. We danced, had our picture taken, shared finger foods, and enjoyed dinner at Luna’s afterwards. I tried, but couldn’t stomach the beet tacos.

Happy February!

Well, it’s already February. Can’t believe how busy the last 2 weeks were. Maybe someday I’ll catch up here on the blog. For now, here I am trying to read the morning paper.

Spin

Busy week here (aren’t they all?) One thing I am excited about this year is that I’m back on my bike, both inside and outside. I have discover a new gym in town that has a beautiful spin studio. I’ve tried to go twice a week or so to get back in riding shape. Crazy thing is that I’ve been the only one there each time. So I select the virtual ride I want to do and then knock it out. Also try and finish with some ab work, so I’m currently at 61 crunches. I’m trying to do just 1 more each time. Go Ryan go!

Breakfast

Look who stopped by for breakfast this morning! He said one of his sockets still hurts, so he’s heading back into the dentist tomorrow morning. It was nice to have him at the house for 30 minutes!

Networking

Busy day yesterday with networking, office duties and more networking. Started the day at the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce business before hours. It’s always great to get 50 business professionals together first thing in the morning!

Break

Missed posting this from a few weeks ago. We were invited to spend the weekend at our friends cabin in Red Feather Lakes after Christmas. It was great to get out of town and relax for a few days. We played with their kids, watched a lot of football, opened presets, drank coffee and beer, and enjoyed our time together!

Biking!

Look who’s back on his bike! Thanks to mom for the outdoor riding gear; I put it to the test yesterday  on a 13 mile ride around Greeley with my friend Bob. I was also invited to join a local “biker gang” called the Greeley Grey Hairs. They get together a few times a month for a group ride around the city. I felt good on the ride, all the training is paying off. On a slightly related note, I haven’t had meat since a pizza on New Years Day. So there’s that too! Big goals in 2020!

Teeth

Look who got three wisdom teeth pulled today! I don’t know why he didn’t have a fourth. Good job being brave today, Little D. And thanks for helping, Eve.

2020

Happy New Year! Welcome to not only a new year, but a new decade. 2019 was the best year I have had since 2016. I will hopefully have time to review it in upcoming blog posts.

For the time being, last night was fun. Started the day with a quick trip to Laramie with Sister to get some paperwork signed by mom. Jen was feeling better by the evening to head out on the town with my co-worker Shannon and I. We started at the Rio with drinks, then made our way to Tower56 for my friend Paul’s magic show. Saw lots of friends throughout the evening. We closed 2019 at the Tavern with the Stewart’s. Home by 1230! Bring on 2020! Lots of huge goals, dreams and plans. Excited to launch!
