Laramie-Carnival!

We made two separate trips to the carnival: one on Friday night with the older kids, and one on Saturday afternoon with the little kids. The crowds are pretty different at the different times of day! Elsie and Kaleb let me ride the train with them several times! Sis and I rode the Farris wheel Friday night together. That's about as crazy as I want to get. We also lost some money on the midway trying to win a prize we could buy at Walmart for a fourth of the cost. But it was fun. Also found funnel cake! 

Laramie!

We sure can pack a lot in when we get together as a family. We deeply missed Jen and Noah, who unfortunately had prior commitments in Greeley. Andrew was able to drive us to and from Laramie safely. Our fun was based around Jubliee Days! The carnival, the parade, the other goings-on downtown, and, of course, the entire process around eating. The cousins had a great time playing together, while the adults talked and planned the next event. Thanks to mom and dad for hosting! 

Vince

Don't know how I missed posting on the Vince Neil show last weekend. Somehow we parlayed our 4 tickets in the stands into 4 standing room only tickets in front of the stage. Maybe because the people we traded with had really nice shoes and didn't want to stand in the 4 inches of mud on the stadium floor. Vixon was the opening act before Vince appeared to his adoring fans. Dr. Feelgood and GirlsGirlsGirls were highlights of the show. 

Gate Guard

Sarabeth and I have been living completely different schedules since the Greeley Stampede started. I'm up at 330 and home from work by 4. She on the other hand, has been leaving the house at 345 in the afternoon and getting home about midnight or 1. So we see each other about 10 minutes or so a day. She has been helping out Coach Shep as a Gate Guard as people are coming into the park. She checks bags, runs errands and has been super helpful to the fundraising efforts. She also gets to tell grown men that, no, in fact, you can't take that 32oz can of Red Bull inside. Was thrilled to spot her working last night as we were headed to Vince Neil! 

Stranahans

Since we were in south Denver today, we made the pilgrimage to Stranahans for a tour and a few samples in the tasting room. It was so much fun. Signed up to be chosen for the bottling team. They randomly select 80 people each month to help out. The waiting list is currently at 20,000. We were able to enjoy some Ethiopian food for lunch that was there on a food truck. Each of those barrels holds roughly 250-300 bottles of Stranahans!   

I Love the 90's!!

The summer concert season continued last night with a trip to Denver to Fiddlers Green to witness the glory that is the "I Love the 90's" concert tour. It was magical. It was like a greatest hits mix tape. Tone Loc. Kid 'n Play. Rob Base. Salt and Pepa with Spindarella. And the headliner, Vanillia Ice. Granted it was 20 years too late, but to see Ice Ice Baby performed live was truly a bucket list item. So. Much. Fun. And my date looked beautiful too.
