Family-Food!

If there's one thing the Roths like to do when we are all together, it's eat. And with 12 of us now, each meal is a monumental undertaking. Thankfully we had Pizza Hut for lunch, which gave everyone full tummys for the family pictures we had scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Dinner was a cookout, with hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade salsa, pasta salad, cantaloupe, fresh veggie tray and birthday cupcakes for the birthday girl! Noah's girlfriend even got to join us for the evening and meet everyone. We were going to have a fire but but everyone ran out of energy. Such a fun filled day! 

Family-Fun!

We were so thrilled to host our family of 12 (!!) on Sunday in Greeley. It was the first time all 12 of us have been together! Wes, Kim, Kaleb and Elsie were in Colorado for a friends wedding, and mom and dad drove down for the day. We sure can pack a lot into 10 hours. Lots of playing, climbing, eating, laughing and sharing. Here are some of the fun photos! 

XC-CSU Invite

It's Cross-Country season again! Today was Noah's first meet, the teams second. Hughes Stadium played host to the CSU Invite. Pretty high quality teams from across the state attended. Noah had a great run. He was really impressive in the final 100 yards or so when he really kicked it up and passed several people ahead of him! Team looked great. Off to Herritage Classic next weekend before flying to California. The following weekend. And no, that first picture isn't photoshopped. That's Mrs. Roth with Noah's friend Ben. And yes, the start of the race looks like the Oklohoma land grab. 

TBT-Wiley #2

In July, my favorite brewery Wiley Roots turned 2! To celebrate, they had a full day of activities at the brewery, including a corn hole tournament, food truck, live music, several new beer releases and a BIKE SCAVENGER HUNT!!  Uncle Andrew was even in town to help celebrate. The goal of the scavenger hunt was to answer trivia questions about various places in the downtown area. Then ride your bike to that place, take and picture and/or buy a product, and go to the next place. It was so fun! We visited the Meeker House, Patricks, The Kress Cinema, and Chebba Hut amoung others. Then we raced back to the brewery and won second place! Here's to another great year, Kyle and Maranda! Cheers!

Because you only turn 11 once! Happy birthday to my beautiful little girl! Pretty great day today, that started with her card from South Dakota, followed by Starbucks and donuts for her GT class. Dad brought lunch from Panda Express! After drama this afternoon, a nice dinner, more cards and gifts and finally first night AWANA. Oh yeah, and birthday calls from South Dakota, Laramie and Grand Junction! Happy birthday Sarabeth. I love you! 

Monte Vista

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Ross, grandpa Jims older brother two weeks ago. We are thankful that Jen was able to say goodbye to him when he was in the hospital in Denver and be with the family the day after his passing. He was laid to rest this past weekend in his hometown of Monte Vista. Jen and the kids were able to spend the weekend in town with most/all of her family. While staying at Aunt Sue and Uncle Darrels, the kids got a taste of ranch life on the 4-wheelers! Also were able to enjoy the beautiful night sky and full moon. So sorry for your loss grandpa. Hope I can see you soon! 

Dave!

It seems like just yesterday....Actually it was two full years ago since Dave made a stop in Colorado. Well, that's not entirely true. He did have the flood relief show in Broomfield 22 months ago. But that was just him, and he only played about 7 songs. This was the fallen DAVE MATTHEWS BAND experience. Sadly this year, he was at Fiddler's green and not Red Rocks. But it was still a great show with a solid setlist. Jen wasn't able to make it since she was in Monte Vista with the kids for her uncle's funeral. So my old friend Christy said I could tag along with her to the show. Can you tell the iPhone pictures from the professional ones? At least in mine, you can see the "smoke" rising from the crowd. Dave loves Colorado. Hopefully it isn't 2 more years until I can see him again.
