Back in February, I applied to Paramount Studios to have a character visit to ALLO from one of their shows. My application was selected and we landed on Cinco de Mayo and FridayFest, and of course we choose to have Dora the Explorer. Paramount shipped the costume and flew a character actress from Houston for the day. We also lined up a local Mexican bakery to provide some snacks during the event. The evening was a success, with several hundred people either taking pictures with Dora, stopping in the storefront for treats, or spinning the wheel at our booth.
