By Friday morning the 60 MPH winds had finally died down a bit and we decided to take a trip in beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. Jen and Noah were both not feeling well so they stayed in the nice warm condo while the rest of us bundled up and headed out. The elk were plentiful in the park this year and we saw quite a few of these amazing animals. We drove Trail Ridge Road to the turn where it is closed for the winter, and climbed a few rocks. Then we drove up to Bear Lake and took a quick picture while the wind whipped off the lake at 40 or 50 MPH.
