A few more from the week that was. Thanks to Sophie for a few more from the adventures in Imperial. Looks like we had fun! Was honored to be invited to the victory party for City Councilwoman elect Melissa McDonald at the Country Club. And some notes from a board meeting (seriously, 530 on a Friday night???).
No, I didn’t chase a bowling tournament with a 5K. I did however, hand out several hundred little water bottles wrapped in ALLO koozies to those that did. Still quite a ways to go in Brighton towards brand awareness. Thankful it was a nice morning for the 1100 runners, including a team from ALLO.
Let’s raise some money and turkeys for the Weld Food Bank! Organized a team to compete in the third annual Turkey Bowl sponsored by my friends at KFKA. While we didn’t win the thing, we sure had fun raising money for a great cause.
Where does the time go? It already time again for Leadership Weld County. We spent the morning diving deeper into leadership challenges in an organization and how we can overcome them. The afternoon was spent at the Weld County Airport, first with the City Planner, and then the manager of the airport. After a quick happy hour, it was off to Rotary at Slushed. Another application! Approaching 30 members, and usually 22ish in attendance. Closed the night by running trivia at Tighknit! Bonus pictures from Ambassadors meeting, Rotary Presidents, and the ocean!
Busy start to the week, with another Nuggets watch party on Sunday, a volunteer event for our team at the Weld Food Bank making “shopping carts” for the daily food distribution (I was in charge of eggs and carrots), and a “Coffee with ALLO” event at the Blue Mug to reach some business customers.
My friend Tara at Greeley Lifestyle offered me the chance to sponsor a VIP event before the Go West Film Fest’s final night at the Kress in downtown Greeley. Who could say no to that? So we got our cowboy and Cowgirl on, and spent a few hours enjoying drinks and cocktails with several dozen other VIPs. We also stuck around for a screening of a John Wayne movie.
With the VIP experience, we were some of the first dozen people in the venue. So after snagging some tour merch, we wandered right up front on the rail. Pretty hard to take bad pictures from the front row center! Great show. And look who scored a setlist?
