First Day

Here are the two teachers on their first day of school! One of them is starting her 15th year at Frontier. The other is starting his first year at Valley High School in Gilcrest. He becomes a third generation high school English teacher.

GMM-Pregame

We are gearing up for another successful Mob Mixer next week at Fusco’s Pizza. Over the last few months we have definitely gotten better at hyping the event. Emilo has started producing a short video of Katie and I interviewing that months host and pushing it out on social media. We are inviting people through the event on Facebook. And we are blasting our email subscribers with a reminder 48 hours beforehand. We are currently producing a spoof video that should get some likes. We utilized the new LINC video room to begin production. Here’s the team interviewing this month’s host onsite, and the LINC.

Chalice

My good friend Chalice had a ribbon cutting/one year anniversary party for her business Unstoppable Curiosity last week.  It was quite the party! So many people showed up to celebrate the amazing human  she is and the incredible work she does in the community. I was proud to be included in the craziness!

Grand Opening Pt.2

A continuation of the previous post, the ribbon cutting was WILD! Probably somewhere between 60-70 people showed up. I hate to pat myself on the back too much, But it was because of me that the event did so well. It was great to see so many of my friends, business partners, and Chamber members attend and celebrate!

Grand Opening

What a day! I put together, executed and celebrated the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting for the downtown store last week. It was a full day, starting at 530 when I let the guys from 1310 KFKA in the store to start their live remote from 6-10. The balloon arch folks showed up at 7 to build the arach, followed by the mini pancake bar ladies at 745. Got to talk for about 20 minutes on the radio before welcoming the buffet from NOSH and Sexy Samies. When they were done, the Chamber folks started showing up at 230 for the ribbon cutting at 3, which was supported by an Italian soda bar and sweet treats. Closed the day by sponsoring FridayFest! Whew!

August 1

Where is the summer going? Jen started her 15th year at Frontier yesterday. Before she headed back, she made a trek to Oklahoma City to drive back with her parents so Jim could golf in the YFC tournament. I made it to a few events, including an Ambassadors meeting, a Business After Hours, donated some blood, And found a picture of the YFC team at the tournament. We even snuck in a booze cruise at the lake with our friends on a beautiful Sunday morning.

MC

I had the privilege of being the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County Dancing with the Stars last week at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. The event ended up raising over $60,000 to help fund the Clubs activities. It was fun to interview my friends Matt, Gii, JoLean and Melissa after their dances, and needle my judge friend Trent from Greeley Hat Works. Thanks to all that attended and donated their “votes.”
