Nathanael!

Has it already been almost a month since the kid turned 14?!? And I realized I never posted anything about the birthday party he shared with his friend Sean. Since they run with the same group of friends, they decided a co-party would be the way to go. And a co-ed party at that! Jen and Suzi did a great job of planning a great celebration, including some great games, cool food and a s'mores bar and fire pit to close the evening. Thanks to Suzi and Chuck for hosting and to all the friends that showed up and helped celebrate the guys birthdays!

Wrap-up

Finally, here are the actual set lists and the three posters from the weekend. Sadly missed night three, but hopefully someday will score one on eBay or one of the DMB poster sites. Thanks Dave for an incredible weekend!

Pike Place

After arriving at the Pike Place Market via the Monorail, we decided to split up from our friends/traveling companions and cram as much in the 3 hours we had as possible. Jen and I walked through the main floor and enjoyed all the action: the fresh flowers, the fresh seafood, and of course the men that throw the fish! We found a place to eat a delicious lunch and did some shopping for the kids treasures we wanted to get them. We walked by Starbucks store #1 but didn't have time to wait in line. Sadly, time was up and it was time to begin the long journey back to Greeley. Walking to Monorail to rental car to shuttle bus to airplane to shuttle bus to car to home at 1215 am Tuesday morning.

Seattle

When we were planning the trip back in February, I knew I wanted to be able to spend as much time as we could in Seattle on Monday. So I booked us a pretty late flight to allow us time to explore the city. First stop: the Space Needle. I had the chance to visit here with mom, dad, and Wes in 1990. So I was excited to get back and share it with Jen. We took the ride to the top in the glass front elevator and spent some time enjoying Seattle from up above. Then it was Monorail time to Pike Place Market!

Gorge N3-Pit#2

What a magicial night. The set list was incredible. Dave was having so much fun, the good folks around me were full of celebration and I was still in awe of where I had ended up. We really felt there was going to be a double encore at the end after Dave finished with "Stay," but sadly it wasn't to be. The show and the weekend were over. Here are a few more from the Pit.

Gorge N3-Pit

After getting my pit pass, I hurriedly said goodbye to Jen and headed down. I didn't think it would actually work. After passing through two levels of security, all of a sudden I was 20 feet from the stage. Holy smokes. While I was going out of my gourd, I tried to remain cool and act like I'd been there before. Only had to wait about 40 minutes before the house lights dimmed, we cheered, and out strolled Dave to begin Night 3.
