Nathanael talked me into making mini donuts for his class Christmas party this morning. How could I refuse? It was fun watching the 4th graders get all jacked up on sugar before being turned over to their parents for a 3 1/2 week vacation. Also stopped in the lunch room and sat with sister while she enjoyed her salad. Let the vacation begin!
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Broncos Sunday
Kaleb slept until after 8 on Sunday morning. Those cousins must have really tired him out! He helped Jen make a nice breakfast for everyone, then we all got ready to watch Denver beat Baltimore. Sadly, the weekend had to end, and we said our goodbyes at halftime. It was a great visit with lots of laughs, food, fun, and presents. Hopefully we can all get together again soon!
Adults
The parents also had a great night exchanging gifts. Wes was thrilled with new books and Broncos stuff, Kim with a Lowes gift card and new scarf, and a new microwave to take home to Sturgis. Jen was blessed with gift cards to several of her favorite stores, a new blanket to keep warm with and new gloves! Campingdad had a HUGE night with Amazon money, a Sports Illustrated subscription, a Broncos stocking cap, and a #18 PEYTON MANNING JERSEY!!! Wow. What a great night! We are so blessed.
Bigs
The Bigs also had a very successful night on Saturday. Their gifts were pretty neat and very thoughtful as well: sweet new hoodies, gift cards to their favorite stores, a new snare drum for our favorite 12 year old percussionist and cash for the teenager. Kaleb figured out the drum pretty quick and snagged a pair of drum sticks. Now we have an official Little Drummer Boy.
Littles
Nathanael and Sarabeth were blessed with some pretty neat and thoughtful gifts: books, baseball cards, a bunch of neat girl accessories, hoodies and clothes. They also got a Kindle Fire to share!! Now dad can have his iPad back.
Presents
Saturday night kicked off the official present opening season, as we opening gifts from the Roth side of the family. It was really fun to share such a special time with the South Dakota Roths. Time to let the fun begin!
Kaleb!
It was a really fun weekend at the Roth household, as Wes, Kim and Kaleb arrived from South Dakota for a quick visit and gift exchange. The kids saw Kaleb in July, but Jen and I haven't seen him since Easter. He has really changed!
Once he warmed up to us and remembered his cousins, he was going a mile a minute. Walking, talking, running and playing, he is an amazing active little boy. He loved the puppies and exploring the house with his cousins. He also found the doggie door, and was thrilled to be able to get outside when ever he wanted!

Eagles!
We enjoyed a big night out on the town last week at a surprise birthday party for our friend Jeff at a Colorado Eagles hockey game! His wife rented a suite for all his friends to celebrate in. It was a super game, with the Eagles winning 3-2 in overtime. Jen not only had fun, she got to meet several strange characters from a movie our family loves!

Music
Great night of concert band music tonight in Greeley. Andrew and the 6th graders played 4 holiday songs. He rocked it on the snare drum. Noah and the 8th graders killed it on 3 songs with the tuba clearly heard throughout the hall. The night was capped off with a stop at DQ for blizzards and fries!

Ice Haus
Took Sarabeth, Nathanael and Nathanael's friend ice skating yesterday. They all enjoyed themselves and no one cracked their head open on the ice. The buckets are very helpful for kids to learn to balance while on the ice. Fun way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon!
