Super Bowl Part 2

I know I've already live-blogger the big Super Bowl blow-out party at Jim and Janet's house via the Blackberry. But here are a few more pictures from the good camera. It was a great party with a good turn-out. I was just thankful to be done with all the chip stocking/display building at Frito. After reflecting on the get together, I started to wonder why we can't all get together more often. Why only once a year on Super Bowl Sunday??

Look what was waiting for me at the table! A hot pot of Starbucks French press and a bag from Starbucks! The writing on the bag says "To our Favorite Valentine Baby! Love JNANS!".

Parade of Nations

I managed to get the boys gathered around the TV tonight to watch the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Games. They are all very interested now: comparing the countries populations with how many athletes that country sent. India was shocking to have a billion people and only 4 athletes. Uncle Wes is excited to see Israel in a few minutes. We were all sad to see the Georgian team walk in.

Looks like Israel sent 3! Go Uncle Bubba!!

Hopefully it will be an exciting 2 weeks. Go Team Colbert and US speed skating!!

Saints

Awesome. And Frito only spent 12 million on 4 ads and what, like 10 million to sponsor the halftime. Priceless. Go Saints. I was the only one at my party cheering for them at the end. Good for New Orleans. Great party. Good times.

End of 3rd

All the women and most of the kids have lost interest in the game. So we are down to Jim, Bob, Big D, Noah and I. And we are still waiting on another Doritos commerical.

Halftime

Since no one under the age of 40 knows who this halftime act is, here is another picture of Carrie singing the national anthem. She did an amazing job, didn't she?

Halftime

So after shelling out 9 million bucks in the first half for 3 commercials, now we are sponsoring the entire halftime?? Wow. I better work extra hard this week and sell more chips in order to pay for all this. It does give you a sense of pride though. To work for a company that can spend that kind of bling. I bet the price of chips is going to go up now.

Big D

Very full of Jim's green chili burritos and several beers and a car bomb. I hope Rebecca doesn't have to come get him. Andrew is really going to have to work hard at spin on Tuesday night to work off all this "fun".
