PDX-Found Her!

So good to see sis again, even though it’s only been three weeks. She found a cool new place to have breakfast at, before we were able to spoil her a bit and run some errands she needed to get done. Something’s are just easier with a car and your parents! IKEA, Target, Old Navy, and the Home Store. Now lets try and find that Noah kid…

DEN——>PDX

Let’s travel! This time, the journey took us west, all the way to Portland. Christmas 2022 is finally over, as Jen will cash in her two tickets to see Natalie Merchant. Oh, and we get to see the kids. But first, a 130AM wake-up call to start the adventure! And so. Much. Coffee.

Brighton

Another Friday, another golf tournament. This time it was the 20th Anniversary party in Brighton. We had 9 golfers as well as a booth. It was a cool, crisp day on the course. We were also the lunch sponsor (cool custom napkins too!).

Brew

It’s beer fest season! Kicked off 1/3 on Friday at the Hops for Hunger event, benefitting the Weld Food Bank. My friend and brewery owner Tommy allowed Bob and I to help at the TightKnit tent for the evening. We even got to bring along our better haves. Hunter even stopped by!

Best

Look at these kids living their best life! I opened up BeReal and their pictures popped up. Had no idea they were at the game. And it was a good one too…in the first quarter and last play. Hope they had fun. They were sitting in almost the same place our season tickets were.

Life

The rest of the crew has been fairly busy this month as well! Captured a picture of Wesley still preaching the Truth with power at his church in South Dakota. Nathanael and Ruthie attend their second Jonas Brothers show at Ball Arena. While not pictured, Andrew is getting settled into his teaching routine while still playing music with his band and monthly in the worship band at church. Jen received her second jersey of the year, and its only the 7th week of school! And a few other random snaps of Campingdad out and about.

“The Neighborhood”

So thankful to cousin Emily who took time while they were in Laramie for the Cowboys football game that they visited “the neighborhood” as mom called it. Thank you for the beautiful flowers, and for swinging past 179. I need to make a trip home before the snow flies. I love you mom. I love you dad.

Saturday

And then there was a day of rest. Have been running and gunning since Labor Day. I knew it was going to be a sprint to October 7 or so, and so far that’s been the case. We celebrated our 20th ALLOversary with a sponsorship of the annual Block Party in downtown. It was quite the party! Made three trips to Brighton, for TableTop, the monthly luncheon, and the golf tournament (more on that in a different post). Some of the people I’ve been chatting with are becoming overwhelmed with the number of events and activities. Was it this way before the “dark times” or have things really ramped up in the past 4 months or so? I’m still pondering that question. Thankful I will be in the PDX in less than a week!
