When we got tired of Benny’s, we drove back to Lake Worth, dropped the car off, and walked to a different bar that allowed inside smoking! Visited with some more cool people, had a few sticks, and I played DJ on their TouchTunes. Ordered some dinner to go, and it was back to the condo for the night!
After 3 1/2 hours in the parking garage, road side assistance to get the trunk open (where the dead battery was), two more Ubers, and trip to Advanced Auto Parts, and installing a new battery, WE HAD WHEELS! Time for a victory lap and a celebratory beer! After crushing up the A1A (Beachfront Avenue!), we landed at Benny’s on the Beach for some drinks, ocean view and some seafood! Also, quite a few characters in the Sunshine State.
North to West Palm Beach to get the car that Ben keeps in Florida! After coffee and a 20 minute Uber, we located the car. I’ll let the series of pictures tell the story of what happened next…
After dropping the stuff in the condo, it was time for a victory beer or two. So we walked to the little downtown watering hole and celebrated finally making it, after leaving Greeley at 930 that morning. Vacation beers just hit different, seafood too!
Getting there is half the fun! I was invited to visit Ft. Lauderdale for a few days with my friend Ben to check on his condo and car. It wasn’t our fault that a hurricane was making landfall on the other side of the state while we were trying to land. So we circled out in the Atlantic for awhile before being forced to make a quick stop in Orlando for more fuel before making the quick 42 minute jaunt to Ft. Lauderdale. Then it was a 50 minute Uber ride north to the condo!
Christmas is never over until you get you last gift! We were able to use our present from Sean to tailgate and attend the Washington State/CSU football game over the weekend. Always fun to get the crew together for a few beers and some football. Even more fun when CSU gets crushed (and Wyoming wins in Laramie!).
Hey Sis! Happy 19th birthday! I’m so thankful that you get to celebrate with us in Greeley over your birthday weekend! Let the celebrations continue!
Still a Greeley Chamber Ambassador going on 6 years and one Ambassador of the Year award. Moved the meetings out of the Chamber office, which has been a nice change. Pre-gamed the Ambassador meeting with a Steering committee meeting beforehand. Always great to catch up with so many of my Chamber buddies on a monthly basis!
