Because who can’t get enough cornhole in the summer??? For Father’s Day this year, the Welch’s hosted a BBQ/Cornhole tournament for the gang. It was fun to be joined by mom, Nathanael and some of Shelly’s family. Was there any doubt who would win? Than and I just missed the finals…lost to Scott and Shelly in game 3. Food was great, weather cooled off, and I even found a post from Jen on the Instagram! Thanks to Jen, the kids and mom for making the day special. Can’t wait to Traeger next month.
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Parking Lot
Cornhole
Scribbs and I completed in the Boys and Girls Club Cornhole Tournament over the weekend. We will killing it (highlight was defeating Andrew G. And his buddy) until we ran right into the buzzsaw of a semi-pro team from Longmont. Oh well. We made it almost to the semi finals and had a blast supporting the Clubs and BRIX.

Food!
We love our back patio and have really been enjoying it this spring and summer. Last weekend I hosted our book club (missed getting a picture) and grilled burgers. Sunday night we hosted a big group for some tri-tip on the Traeger (great early Father’s Day present!) finished the night as we do now with whiskey and cigars.
TT/AOTY
Another couple of events last week: Tabletop in Loveland and Longmont, as well as a ribbon cutting and FRIDAY Fest for the Greeley Chamber. It’s always fun to get pics of the three AOTYs while we can…sadly Pam last her job a week ago and we don’t know how many more times the three of us will have the chance to hang out together.
Hashbrown
Look who has a new dog! The lucky couple welcomed Hashbrown to his new home in Portland after a long journey from Texas. Early reports are that he doesn’t really like or understand the rain. So he prefers to be carried when they take him for a walk.
Silly
Jumped on the bandwagon of that new app that changes your picture into a cartoon! I look so much younger.

Tornado!
Look at this little guy that touched down on Monday in Platteville! It was on the ground for about 5-10 minutes. Thankfully no one was injured and their was minimal property damage. Springtime in Colorado!

Summer
Looks like someone is fully embracing summer vacation! She’s a busy gal this summer, between 3 Aims classes, working weekends at the nail salon, and dating a boy!

Moving
Nathanael made the decision to move out this spring. He will be living closer to UNC and will be roommates again with his older brother. His girlfriend was so sweet over the weekend helping him clean, pack and get moved into his new digs. Always bittersweet when a child decides to leave the family home. Thankful he has this chance to try living on his own and also thankful he will be just across town if he needs anything.

Merrill
The FADP group at Merrill that I am apart of landed on the front page of the Wall Street Journal last week. Leadership had an emergency call later that day to tamp down everyone’s panic at the article. Still on the PAUSE that began on July 31, 2020. On the positive side, here’s a nice Facebook ad for TableTop this month!
Leads
Love being back in person for our Chamber Leads group! Misty is doing an incredible job of recruiting new members to attend each week...we had 38 this week from a low of like 8 in the middle of the COVID on Zoom.

BBQ
Summer has arrived and with it a beautiful day on Memorial Day to gather with friends and family. We made the pilgrimage across the street to spend the day at Welch’s with the gang. Glad mom and the kids and their girls could join the fun! We even got some use out of the old Nerf guns.
AIMS CC
Look at our family’s newest college student! Sis enrolled at Aims Community College this summer, in order to take advantage of their free tuition for in district students. She is taking two in person and one online course, in order to speed up her graduation date to May 2022, a full year early. She will have a busy summer between her classes and working weekends at the nail salon.

Paul
The tradition continued over the Memorial Day weekend, with the annual gathering at my friend Paul’s house. It’s been neat to mark the passage of time around this event, as our kids have grown up, graduated and moved onto other adventures. Now there are grandkids (Paul and Hope and 2!!!) and a new generation of kids that attend. Memorial Day also marks the beginning of the “Summer Poster” pictures. Here are the first two! Finished poster will be unveiled after Labor Day and will be displayed proudly on the mantle for the following year. The second picture is Sister with her “Senior Friends” at their graduation party of the weekend.
