Laramie

Trying to get 12 people together, who live in 3 different states, in the middle of winter, can be quite a challenge. Throw in 4 full-time jobs, school schedules and needs of the family, and it can seem daunting. But we did it! And over New Years too!

We gathered at mom and dads house with Wes, Kim, Kaleb and Elsie to celebrate: New Years Eve, Christmas, and Wesley's birthday! We can sure cram in the fun over 2 1/2 days! We spent most of the time either getting ready to eat, eating, or cleaning up from the mess 12 people can make. Lots of dirty dishes! But we also managed to open a TON of very thoughtful and very special gifts. The folks were amazing hosts of this years celebrations! We enjoyed so much special time and memories together. The cousins loved playing with each other, and the missing cousin was sorely missed by all.

The women did a fantastic job on Christmas dinner. It was quite an impressive piece of meat. And we ate almost all of it. Before getting on the road, we were also able to sing Happy Birthday to Wes and eat some cupcakes! We love food!

Tradition

Just like the Masters, the tradition continues! Every Valentines Day, mom and dad make the extra effort to mail the kids (and my birthday card) through Loveland in order to get the special cancelation and poem. This year is no different. These arrived today! Can't wait to see what's inside. Thanks folks!

TBS

No, not the SuperStation that broadcasts Braves games, Throw Back Saturday. Because Ryan doesn't have time on Thursday. Jim and Janet brought these photos from Aunt Sue. This was their first visit to her house and possibly Nathanael and Sarabeths first time on a horse. Little D was still little and already showing his love and interest in animals. Group photo didn't go as well though. Noah, he is always up for anything new and adventurous!

2015 Books

Never too late to post from last year, is it? Realized I haven't posted last years reading totals yet. It was a great year from me...until the route change November 1. Then I basically ran out of free time to read. I think I've only finished 3 books since then. But before that, it was a great year! Not only finished all of MZD AND got to meet him, but read Gaiman AND got to meet him! Water Knife was one of my favorites as was Pioneer Girl (thanks Wes!) Fat Tire Flyer on the history of mountain biking was also great. I felt I really stretched myself in my 4 book clubs by reading things that I wouldn't normally have picked up.

My goal for 2016 is only 25 and I'm already doubtful about that. I've left 2 book clubs sadly and am kind of struggling with the others. There just isn't any time Sunday through Thursday to read. Need to carve out a few hours on Friday mornings. Here's to a great 2015 and hopefully a solid 2016.

AC⚡️DC-2

....when I arrived at Coachs seat however, there was only his seat. He had said there was an open one next to him. There wasn't. So we shared the space. But who cares?? It's AC⚡️DC!!! The last half of the show was awesome. They brought Rosie and the cannons for the encore. Angus rock and rolled all night long! Not bad for a 68 year old. For the encore, Brian Johnson came back out with a Manning jersey on. Crowd loved that! Great night!

AC⚡️DC

We continued the Super Bowl celebration on Monday night in Dever with a trip to the Pepsi Center to see ACDC. I don't know why I'm 38 and have never seen them before. Thankfully I brought earplugs! Coach and I grabbed a quick beer across the street before making our way inside. We skipped the opening band and mostly walked around and people watched. We had separate seats, so we parted ways. Here are the pictures from my seat. Lower lever stage middle! And boy oh boy do they ROCK!!! They played all the classics that we wanted to hear. About half way through their set, coach asked me to join him at his seat....

Fire and Ice

Grandma and grandpa arrived yesterday to spend the weekend with us! After a quick cribbage game and some catching up with sis and Tulo, we were off to Loveland for the Fire and Ice Festival. Over the next couple days, about a dozen ice sculptures will be created. While we were walking through, the teams were just getting started. Enjoyed a nice dinner together, but for some reason the photo didn't turn out.

2/3rds

It was a crazy busy week, starting with the Super Bowl on Sunday, an ACDC concert Monday, spin and boys hoops Tuesday, and P/T conferences for Jen Wednesday and Thursday. For a quick moment, 2/3rds of our family were together. Of course it was at Frontier, while Jen was doing scoreboard for the varsity game, Noah and D were cheering them on and I was booster clubbing it.

Neon Night

The girls basketball team in conjunction with the Wolverine Booster Club presented Neon Night last night at our home gym. Students and fans were encouraged to wear neon colors and Booster Club gave away neon wristbands to the first 100 people. Even though the girls lost, still a fun night. I know the guy with the tuba, but the other kid???

SB 50

Been a great week on the new route, sold some chips, and now it comes down to this. So excited! Spending the game at a few different parties depending on how things go. The pre game party is great so far. Let's go Broncos. Bring it home. I'm picking Denver 24 Carolina 22.
