Music

Great night of concert band music tonight in Greeley. Andrew and the 6th graders played 4 holiday songs. He rocked it on the snare drum. Noah and the 8th graders killed it on 3 songs with the tuba clearly heard throughout the hall. The night was capped off with a stop at DQ for blizzards and fries!

Ice Haus

Took Sarabeth, Nathanael and Nathanael's friend ice skating yesterday. They all enjoyed themselves and no one cracked their head open on the ice. The buckets are very helpful for kids to learn to balance while on the ice. Fun way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon!

Dance!

Running concessions at the middle school dance tonight. Also using the opportunity to spy on Noah and Andrew. The only thing more lucrative then winning Powerball is selling pizza and soda to middle schoolers. These kids are ballers.

Champions!

Not only did Denver win the west, but they have their longest winning streak since 1998. Final score was 31-23. Guys all had fun and no one got arrested. Now just the long battle getting out of the parking lot and getting home!

End of 3rd!

Quite a quarter with at TD pass from Manning to DT and a pick 6 from Von Miller!! Broncos up 28-10 and are 15 little tiny minutes away from winning the division!! There we are in the picture. Thanks for taking the pic Mark!!

Touchdown!!!

Finally! Closest I've even been to Peyton Manning! Broncos lead 14-10 with 921 left in the third! Crowd is coming alive!

Halftime

Not much going in the 2nd quarter, Bucs still lead 10-7. Denver will get ball first in second half. Need a big drive from Manning to get the lead and the crowd fired up! Looks like these guys need to get fired up!!

End of the first in Denver, And somehow the Bucs are up 10-7. Game time kickoff temperature was 71. On December 3. Wow. Come on Broncos! And doesn't this guy know there is an NFL game going on behind him???

Game day!!!

Beautiful day at Sports Authority Field at Mile High!! Time to clinch the AFC West with a win over the Bucs. First time getting to see Peyton Manning play in person. Going to enjoy the win today with Big D, Devin, Paul and 76,000 Broncomanics.

Prepping

No, not prepping for doomsday. Christmas!! Jen was quite a rock star today, between shopping for the presents, wrapping the presents, and getting the tree set up to put the presents under. Bring on the Christmas season!!

Black Friday

It begins!! Currently in line to check out at Target while Jen and Shep wait for Kohls to open at midnight. Don't know if we are pulling an all nighter or heading home to sleep for a bit.

Thanksgiving 2012

Well, just as everything else this year, Thanksgiving was quite different for our family this year. Between moms broken leg, Kaleb being so sick, and my continued recovery, everyone stayed home this year. It was the first time we have ever spent the holiday alone. Pretty sad, but so goes this year.

We tried to make the best of it though. Jen did an amazing job with the turkey and all the fixings. The kids were huge helpers throughout the day. I cleaned up and did the dishes. Dessert is just moments away!

Teddy Bear ER

The new Poudre Valley Hospital ER and surgery center had their grand opening in Greeley on Saturday. To celebrate and make kids more comfortable in the event of having to visit the ER, they hosted a teddy bear clinic. So Sarabeth grabbed George the elephant and away we went.

The staff walked Sarabeth and George through an entire ER visit, from check-in, diagnose, and lab work, through the discharge and follow up instructions. We also saw the CT scan, surgery rooms, recovery and the inside of an ambulance. We were also interviewed by a reporter from the Tribune which appeared on the front page of the paper on Sunday!

Greek

Thursday was the annual Greek Olympics Day for the 6th graders at Frontier. It's a very big deal every year and the kids always look forward to it. Here is Andrew as a Corinth. As a weird coincidence, the teacher in charge of his group was Paul.

Party!

Just finishing up celebrating Noah's 14th birthday! We had a nice family party on Thursday with grandma and grandpa Roth and Meriah. Big Andrew even made it for the ice cream cake and presents!

Friday night brought the friends party, which included 6 teen age boys setting up an entire video game arcade in the basement. And eating. And eating. And eating. They are a great group of boys and we were thrilled to host the big party!
