Veteran's Day

It is always sobering to take a moment today and remember the service men and women who have served, and are serving this great country of ours. It is because of their sacrifice that we are able to enjoy the many remarkable freedoms and choices available to us today. My grandfather served in World War 2 on the European front. He served in the 90th Division based out of Camp Barkeley, TX. Grandpa was one of the many servicemen to pass through Normandy Beach at D+3. He then traveled through France and finally to Germany. After the war, he returned to South Dakota with my grandmother and carried on with his life. Grandpa passed away in 2000, at the age of 82.

Thank you for your service to our country grandpa. Thank you also to the many service men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Please say a special prayer for those who are in harms way tonight, protecting our freedom, and keeping us safe. May the Lord's protection rest upon you, and keep you safe.

Thank you to the Veteran's....we have the freedom to vote because of you as well as so many other things.....& I am married to a Veteran & we thanked him last night at dinner....the kids wanted to know what we were thanking him for so we had a great discussion about freedom that D.J. ended by saying, "Freedom isn't free.".....& he was right....it comes with a price. Americans today do not realize that price.....
