Daddy/Daughter. Waiting for Andrew and Rebecca. Its an amazingly beautiful day here in Castle Rock. Light breeze, sunny, no clouds. Hope we used enough sunscreen.

I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Spunk
We just finished a great dinner at Rebecca's parents home in Castle Rock. Everyone is getting excited for the ride tomorrow, and making plans for the after-ride party. Sarabeth and I are here at the park playing for a bit, while Smiths visit with the in-laws. We will begin the ride tomorrow at 7:30. 32 miles. Hope to be done by about 11:30. Wish us luck!

On the Road (Again)
Its another busy weekend at our house. Sarabeth and I are heading to Castle Rock tonight with Andrew and Rebecca for the Elephant Rock ride tomorrow. Jim, Janet, and the boys are headed to Brighton for a cookout with Uncle Pat. That leaves Jen. At home. By herself. Think she will notice we are ALL gone??

Period 6, Week 3
Way down on the bottom there, if you look real close, you will see the route was 3rd best in the zone last week for total unsaleables. We sure weren't this week. Coming off of the big holiday weekend though, I'm pleased. We ran $16,849 on a $13,298 plan, beating it by $3551. Stales were $388. Time for some fun. I will be blogging about Sarabeth and I's big bike ride tomorrow. Go Ryan go.

Estes Park
After the amazing drive over Trail Ridge, we dropped down into Ester Park for a stroll along the river and some ice cream. The river was flowing very full, very fast, and very cold. So of course the kids wanted to play in it. We found a neat little spot where they could put their feet in, and of course it turned into a game of who could keep their feet in the water the longest. Nathanael won.

Trail Ridge Road East
Trail Ridge Road
Since everyone had Memorial Day off this past weekend, we decided to "head for the hills!" Word over the weekend was that Trail Ridge Road was going to be open for the first time all year on Monday. It is the highest paved road in the United States, and if it was going to open, we were going to be there. We were not disappointed. The amount of snow was incredible. As you can see, it was 15-20 feet in some places. The visitor center on the west side was still covered, and won't be open for several more weeks. By the time we were on our way back east, word must have gotten out, because it was quite a traffic jam.

More Smashburger
The Littles having a great time in the water. I can't believe what a perfect evening it is outside. It sure has been an amazing start to the summer.
I hope to get the pictures from Trail Ridge Road posted later in the week. Also the rest of the pics from the cookout on Sunday night. Thanks for your patience.

Smashburger
We are enjoying a beautiful Colorado evening sitting on the patio at Smashburger and watching the kids splash in the fountain. With the way Roth kids love water, I hope this doesn't become a "swimming pool" situation, and stays just a wadding pool event.

Punpkin Squash
Nathanael was excited to plant several pumpkin squash seeds at one of the stations. I was excited to find out about several trails in the area that I didn't know about. Hopefully we can hike one ot two of them this summer.

Kids Adventure Camp
We are at REI tonight at the "Kids Adventure Camp." It is a fun little program where the kids can do a few activities, learn about the outdoors, and discover a few new hiking trails in the Ft. Collins area. Andrew missed out because he is at a movie with his friend.
