Let’s check in on how things are at the State Capitol, shall we? What a fun day! I was able to participate in Greeley Day at the Capitol as the At-Large Councilman. Council was joined by the City Managers office, the Greeley Chamber, the DDA and UNC. We were able to sit in on the secession on both the House floor (where my name was read into the record), the floor of the Senate (and got a selfie with hopefully the future governor), wandered around the building, and finished with a nice lunch at the University Club. We got to hear from our State Representatives, the Mayor, and the president of UNC. One of my favorite days as a Councilman so far!
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.

Greeley
Let’s check in on Greeley, shall we? ALLO sponsored the watch parties for the first 2 days of the NCAA tournament in partnership with 1310KFKA. To kick things off, there was a 40 yard dash between Tanner, the morning host, and Brady, the mid-day sports talk host. Brady won. It was awesome! Mrs. Roth even made an appearance!. Always lots going on in municipal government!
Evans
Let’s check in on Evans, shall we? Stopped in at the Evans Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at TightKnit to support my friend Anthony and his career at New York Life. Lots of friends to catch up with, some beer to drink, and some delicious elotas from a local business. When I have time to reflect, it’s crazy how far the Blogmeister has come since he first joined the chamber in 2017. Mom and dad would be so proud.
Brighton
Let’s check in on Brighton, shall we? Kept the concert streak going with a big adventure all the way to Brighton on Friday night for the Dave Matthews Tribute Band. We invited the Barnharts along for the fun. The show was awesome! Over 2 hours of DMB songs, hitting all the hits, as well as some deep tracks. Jen was so shocked and happy when the band closed with “Long Black Veil.” Highly recommend!
AIMS
Let’s check in on AIMS Community College, shall we? The school hosted a beam signing ceremony for the new Workforce Innovation Center that will be open for the fall semester. I’ve never signed a beam before! We were able to sign two different ones, and watch the wood one get hoisted into place. Good turnout of community members, with the Mayor and I representing Council. Always fun to bump into my friend Nate!
OKC
Let’s check in on the OKC, shall we? Besides having the stupid Thunder and their crybaby “MVP”, grandma and grandpa have anew house! Jen loaded up Ruthie and Than and drove to the City for the first half of their Spring Break. Nathanael was the staff photographer, so I got pics of the zoo and the trip to the casino. Glad it was a good trip.
