Double Up

 Whats better then having one event to attend each night? Obviously the answer is two! Last half of the week included the Grand Opening/Ribbon cutting in Eaton on Wednesday. Thursday was both the 2 year anniversary of Windsor Lifestyle at the Grainhouse followed by the Bring the Power Social, a gala and fundraiser for Project Self-Sufficiency. Friday I rushed to set up a movie night at the City of Evans and the headed to Island Grove for the annual gala for Lifestories. No rest for the weary as Saturday night was Battleground Pro Wrestling at the Greeley Rec Center. Sunday was a day of rest. 

LNCO- Greeley Edition

 Time once again for Leadership Northern Colorado! This time I felt so much better and was able to stay for the entire time, unlike last month when I was a week post-op and 4 days removed from the hospital and had to leave at lunch. It was Greeley’s turn to host, so we spent the moving at Chevron, discussing the oil and gas industry as well as water rights. Lunch was in downtown, followed by the afternoon at the Kress and a walking tour of the murals, the LINC, and Lincoln Park. Love my class, and learning more about our vested interest in the success of our region.

GMM- Cow Edition

 Along, long tine ago, like 3 weeks, we hosted the monthly Greeley Mob Mixer at the Cow, in their newly refinished upstairs area. It was a blast! The place was packed with new and old friends alike. Little loud, but we got the job done. I had posted some pics that I took earlier…here are the professionals from my friend Amber.

Recovery

 What a week. The morning after was a little rough. We checked out of the VRBO and found some breakfast. We were invited to stop by the hotel the Cruz family was staying at. Some folks played cards, others watched the NCAA tournament, and others tried to nap, scroll their phones, and start saying goodbye. Our crew made a quick stop at the LEGO store, because of course we did. Then it was time for our crew to say our goodbyes as grandma and grandpa headed south and the PDX kids were dropped off at DIA. And look who was enjoying the peace and sunshine when we got home.

 Time for the couple to make their escape! What an incredible week, beautiful ceremony and special memories. Light the sparklers! Here they come!
