Seems to be all campaigning, all the time. More mailers have dropped across the community. We have participated in several “Honk and Waves” and major intersections in Greeley. It is still fun to see our signs in the wild, doing their job. Picked up another promising endorsement from my friend Tanner. Buttons! The race is in its finals days (2 more sleeps to be exact), and the opponents are getting desperate. They haven’t run on anything other than defeating Cascadia, DARK MONEY!!!!, and fringe conspiracy theories. No matter. The Candidate continues to be above the fray, campaign boldly and look ahead to victory on Tuesday night.
It was a special day yesterday, as Mrs. Roth turned the big 5-0! We welcomed Jim and Janet to town for a few days to help celebrate. It was a day filled with food, flowers, friends and family; all of Jen’s favorite things. She even got choked up a little bit when she thanked everyone for coming to her party. Thank you to everyone for making her day special!
It was Andrew’s turn to give a Best Man speech and stand up with his best friend Tony at Tony and Ali’s wedding on Monday evening. Jen and I were blessed to be included in the small, intimate ceremony. It’s so fun to see these kids growing up, getting married and starting to have kids. Nice speech, D!
The campaign is finally in its closing days. The last few weeks have been quite the grind. Received this from a neighbor over the weekend that was a much needed encouragement.
Every event can turn into a campaign event if you wear your candidate name tag, hand out fundraising envelopes and shake enough babies. Attend a few ribbon cuttings, a United Way cornerstone partners tour of Distortions Unlimited, a Greeley Chamber Business After Hours, and entered a green chili at the first ever LULAC chili cook-off. And thanks for the shout-out from some campaign supporters!
