End of August

Another month comes to a close. A slower few weeks all around, before really ramping up on September 13 for the next month or so. Gave some blood for the fourth time this year. Stopped in at the Evans Chamber Business Before Hours at Lifestories. Enjoyed some time with Nathanael and Jeff in the backyard. Missed getting a picture at the Cigar Club gathering, which might be my last one for a few months. A sighting of Vanilla Prime in downtown. An early morning walk. Bonus picture of a family lunch celebrating Nathanael’s 22nd birthday.

GMM- TightKnit Edition

Little late posting the recap from the August edition of the Greeley Mob Mixer. We returned to our favorite haunt, TightKnit Brewing. Great turnout, including some senior leaders from ALLO. Been a little over three years, and we are still going strong. New people keep showing up as well. Gotta love another month of great prizes!

Here she is! The director of the Learning Center at Frontier Academy. She put in well over 150 hours this summer remodeling, painting, sorting, cleaning and making the space all new and even better for the students and staff for the 2024-25 school year. Jen will not only be managing the Center, she will also be in charge of the ISS room as well as the intervention program. I couldn’t be more proud of her and her continuing dedication to Frontier.

Dave- DMB Almanac

There is a cool app that was created by some diehard DMB fans that tracks the shows you have attended, the songs you have heard and the rarity of those songs. The weekend was good for this guy, who scored quite a few first time songs. It was also my 20th show on Saturday. Here is some nerdiness.

Dave N2- Pt.2

Too much fun for one post! Our seats were in the exact same spot as the night before, but the vibe was quite different. I just don’t understand why people buy expensive concert tickets and spend all night talking, like the couple in front of us did. First or second date maybe? Glad they sat most of the night, better view for us. Sad it might be another two years before we see Dave again. Enjoyed the weekend, especially with good friends.

Dave N2

The magic continued on Saturday as we enjoyed a chill morning sipping coffee and chatting at a cool little cafe. We joined our friends the Barnharts for some shopping and an early lunch before heading to the Venus. Met some other Ants at the meet-up, before attempting the near impossible: a Night 2 poster. Sold out at the outside merch stand, but somehow Ally scored not just one, but 2 posters for Ben and I. BOOM! Found our seats and it was lights down at 744. Still no Dreaming Tree, but got 27 and Grey Street closer.
