June- Last Half

Already done with half of 2024. Here are the pics from the last half of the month…I could have broken some of these into their own post, but I’m tired and kinda lazy today and rather far behind on the blog. So here is a photo dump. Enjoy!

Rotary- The End

“All new beginnings come from some other beginings end.” That’s a wrap, folks. I turned over my gavel last week as my year of being president of the Greeley Satellite Rotary club came to an end. There was an incredible transition dinner where Rudy, Stewart and I were honored for our year of service to the Club. I was able to recognize the committee chairs and hand out two awards, one to Tom Shaw for the Cornerstone Rotarian and one to Jess Hernandez for Rotarian of the Year. I received two standing ovations, and a very touching send off from my friend Ben Barnhart.

It was quite the year, with many memorable moments, challenges presented and overcome, strong bonds formed, and a Club moved forward. My leadership skills have improved and I am thankful I was able to be the caretaker of our club. I am now Past President Roth.

PDX- Monday

Started the day with another hour long walk (close those Apple Watch rings!) around the neighborhood before meeting Sara(Beth) for breakfast. I saved her a bus fare and dropped her off in work across the river in Washington. Then goodbye (sniff sniff). Made it back to the VRBO to pack up. There was a cool wishing tree Nextdoor annd I had time to read a few wishes. My favorite: I wish all the lost doggies would find an home and FREE PALESTINE.  We met the kids for breakfast and to see their apartment. Who knew VooDoo Donuts was only a few blocks away??? Then the sad part…the carpet and long walk. Andrew and Ari stayed for a few more days. Than and Ruthie were on our flight, and Jim and Janet followed shortly. What a weekend!

PDX- Father’s Day Dinner (The Couples)

It’s always nice to travel in a group because there are other people taking pictures! Thankful for Ari snapping a few at dinner.
