GMM-Stellas

 We hosted out first Greeley Mob Mixer of 2022 last week at Stellas Pinball Arcade in downtown Greeley. To say it was a success would be an understatement. We are absolutely killing it. There were between 35-40 people that attended, and most of them stayed until almost 7. Quite a few people saw our ads and booster posts on Facebook and had never been to a GMM. A majority had never even been to Stellas! 

Our leadership team now has the event scheduled out through June. We have corporate sponsorship for the February GMM (thanks Allo!), and a very committed following. I’m pretty proud of our group.

Fantasy Football

 With the NFL regular season officially over and the playoffs beginning, it means that the fantasy football season is officially over. I was in two different leagues this year, one with the Wood family and one with the group from 1310 KFKA. I didn’t have high hopes for either team of mine this season, but you never know….

All of a sudden in the 1310 league, I started winning games. Then a few more. Then I made the playoffs. Then I made the championship…then I was only down by 1 point going into the final weekend of games…then I ended up losing. Missed winning the mustard yellow championship belt I would have won and been able to proudly carry with me for the year.

After Hours

 We had the opportunity to try out Greeley’s newest cocktail bar last weekend during their soft opening. Our friends who own the Blue Mug are opening the brunch spot call “Out of the Blue.” Their daughter and her husband are opening “After Hours” in the same location. The drinks were pretty good. The atmosphere is nice. And its much closer to the house then driving all the way downtown. How about the presentation on that smoked old fashioned?

Top Golf

 When life gives you golf balls, head to TopGolf! Ended up having a client meeting and prospect meeting yesterday at TopGolf. While that wasn’t the original plan, I sure am glad it worked out that way! It was my first trip, and first time Ive attempted to swing a golf club in decades. Thanks for the invite Kendal. I hope I get invited back even though I ended up winning both games. 

Favorite 2021 Pictures (PT. 2)

 And here are the second batch of pictures from 2021. It was pretty tricky to narrow down the selection…there were so many great memories and adventures last year. Concerts, trips, new friends and old friends, Traeger and cigar nights, laughs, tears, growth and setbacks. There were tremendous ups (Ambassador of the Year) and staggering lows (illness and sickness). Through it all, my family and I made it through and prospered.

Books

 My reading habits have changed quite a bit over the years. If you look back 4 years or so ago, I was routinely finishing 50-60 books a year. Last year turned out to be a record low…6. Ouch. Goal was 22. I have set this years goal at 12. I think I can finish one book a month…just need to get off TikTok.

 Welcome to 2022 faithful Campingdad readers! And welcome to year 3 of “2 weeks to flatten the curve.” We wrapped up 2021 with the death of Betty White at age 99 last night and the death of former Denver Broncos coach Dan Reaves early this morning. Here’s hoping to better days ahead!

We had a pretty chill NYE, spending the day at Scribbs watching the Cougars lose their bowl game. We then bundled everyone up for a trip to Crabtree. Finished 2021 by binging on season one of Cobra Kai.
