Scored some great seats for the Broncos versus Lions game on Sunday at Mile High. Actually, they weren’t just great seats, they were amazing seats, at Club Level. Then Scribbs called a buddy of his and we were upgraded to basically our own private box at the 45 yard line. Pretty swanky! Enjoyed the beautiful weather with good friends and even saw a Broncos win and our quarterback of the future, Drew Lock. Great start to the teacher’s Christmas vacation!

Cookies
Another busy weekend at 3106! Jen and the Dean hosted 12 ladies for a cookie exchange/wine drinking/game playing night at the house last night. I escaped to Bulldog with Jeff and Dave. Lots of leftovers!

Dallas Day 3
More good stuff! While not as great as yesterday, it was still a solid day of practice, role playing and challenges. Met more good people from all over the west. Ate some good food (beef in Texas!) and amazing snack bar during the morning session. Now at DFW getting ready to begin the process of getting home. I’m glad this was only 2 1/2 days and not the 4 1/2 it was previous.

Dallas Day 2
All finished up here at FAST day 2. Today was a much better day: quite a bit more interaction and role play and not just reading PowerPoint slides. This is my friend Travis from Omaha who I finally had the chance to meet this week! Since the program started back in May, he has just been a voice on the other end of the phone. And look at that afternoon snack bar! I’m going to feel that at the gym Friday morning! Just a 3/4 day tomorrow then a flight home at 525.

Dallas
Well, I did it. I successfully completed the interview process, received a job offer, passed the Series 7 and Series 66, and eared my advisor number with Merrill. So here I am in Dallas for the week for the FADP Advanced Skills Training. Just me and 98 other Advisors from around the country learning, growing and being challenged. I completed day 1! Lots of roll play tomorrow as well as some Q and A with some senior advisors. Here are a few pictures from the approach to DFW.

Thanksgiving Wrap-up
The weekend was a success! We enjoyed having mom stay with us for the week, even though it was a bit tricky getting her home. Dinner was great, with Jen’s teacher friend, the McMillmans, and Eve joining us. Made a round trip to Denver Friday morning to get more blood drops for mom. Watched some of the Apple Bowl with Scribbicks, before heading to the Eagles game to watch sis sing the national Anthem with the honors choir. Saturday was a recovery day braving the cold and wind and snow. Jen managed to shop for a few hours and get the Christmas stuff set up! Sunday was prep for another week, watching the Broncos beat the Chargers with McBride and packing for a week in Dallas with Merrill! Wow!

Gobble Gobble!
Happy Thanksgiving 2019! Busy morning getting ready: Sis and I did a WOD at NoCoFitnes, Nathanael helped out at the Turkey Trot, we made 2 trips to Kings, and all the while getting breakfast and dinner ready! Noah ran a 28 minute 5k in Portland this morning. We wish WKKE were here, but are making the best of it. Dinner should be played around 4!

It’s Snowing!
Quite a blizzard here in Colorado! WKKE just called and canceled their trip to Greeley for Thanksgiving. Not only because of this storm, but the one that is expected on Friday in the Black Hills. We will miss them.Trying out the new Disney+ while the Middles are out shoveling.

Homeward Bound
Made a decision to take a quick trip to Laramie to see mom and spend the weekend at home. Lots of snow up here. Glad the roads opened.

BBH
Before the bomb cyclone hit yesterday morning, I trudged my way of to Cellular One and the Greeley Chamber Business Before Hours. It was a good turnout for such a crummy morning. We were rewarded with Panera sandwich’s, coffee and connection with other business professionals.

Library
One of my 2019 goals, which I have and haven’t posted here yet, is to begin spending more time in my library on a weekly basis. I’ve been successful these past few weekends, by sneaking in about an hour or so each Sunday afternoon. It’s been nice. I’m even reading a little more (another 2019 goal is to finish 20 books. I’m at 2). I even had company on Sunday.
One More
Here is another great picture from the Evans Chamber dinner on Saturday. These are my friends Jeremy and Ashley. Great people, successful business owners and a Frontier family to boot!

Board Meeting
I’m beginning my second year as a board member on the Evans Chamber. We have our monthly meeting on the first Thursday of every month. My friend Travis just joined us this month. Which one of these two guys look like they are having more fun???
