All good things must end sometime. And today I sadly close my blog here at Blogger. The app I've used on my various phones over the years has stopped being updated by Blogger. Thus, each time I try and post an update, the app crashes and I have to start over. So, please re-direct your reading to my new blog for all things Roth family at:

Thanks again for your readership over the years. I hope to see you soon at the new Blog!

AP Scholar
Congrats to Noah "Toby" Roth on the achievement of AP Scholar last year. The award was just announced last week. One of 18 at Frontier and 104 in the entire district. Congrats son. Let's do it again this year. You too Andrew!
Oktobrewfest
Most of the family made it downtown last weekend for OktoBREWfest 2016. Pretty chilly that night as we met up with our friends the Woods. Coach and I even got a selfie with the band The Twirling Zucchinis! We have to remember to get VIP tasting tent tickets next year. Much better deal then GA. Someone please remind me!

XC
Noah ran his final home meet of his season/career/life on Wednesday in Greeley. Grandma and Grandpa Roth made a very brief (2 1/2 hour) appearance in Greeley to cheer the team on. Noah ran a solid 22:22. And just like that, Noah is almost done running in high school. He will have one final meet in Brush next week. So proud of the work he did over the last 4 years. We even managed to sneak in a pizza dinner before youth group.

Prophets of Rage
Aaaaannnndddd....back to the concert posts. Was able to score two $20 seats at Red Rocks to see AWOLNATION and Prophets of Rage. From Wikipedia:
American rap metalsupergroup. Formed in 2016, the group consists of three members of Rage Against the Machine (bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Brad Wilk), two members of Public Enemy (rapper Chuck D and DJ Lord), and rapper B-Real of Cypress Hill.
Noah got the second ticket. Great show. All the Public Enemy and Rage hits mashed up. And it was at Red Rocks. Really trying to enjoy these special times with Noah since he will be gone in less then a year.

We interrupt the seemingly never ending concert posts for this picture of Andrew James. He is alive and well. This was after a spirit day for Homecoming week last week. He also, smartly, uses a hair tie when he drives so he can see. Less then a month until he gets his license!
Blink 182
What? Another concert? With floor seats/pit/where the crazy happens? And it's a PUNK ROK SHOW?? Why not. It's really "all the small things". Started the evening at the Pepsi Center with the end of the All American Rejects set and their two big hits. Followed that up with A Day to Remember. Finally the band we had all been waiting for: Travis Baker and his band Blink 182. They burned through almost 30 songs and several massive drum solos. And all their big hits. Quite a fun night. Thanks coach!
High Elevation
Another day, another concert. This time it was an all day hard rock music festival at Fiddlers Green. High Elevation was a day of survival. We had pit tickets (seems to be a common thread in September). So it was a lot of walking from the pit to the second stage and back. And it was hot. And crowded. They might have over-sold the pit tickets just a bit it seems. But regardless we were able to see quite a few top-notch bands: Shamans Harvest, Ministry, Sevendust, Pierce The Veil, Texas Hippie Coalition, Neckdeep, Chavelle (who I got to meet and get a poster signed), Volbeat, and the headliner Avenge Sevenfold. Pretty solid lineup. Thankful I remembered my earplugs.

Frontier Invite
Frontier hosted their only home cross country meet of the year yesterday at Monfort Park. Our cheering section was able to be joined by Grandma and Grandpa Roth who were visiting for the day from Wyoming. This was the first meet they had ever been able to attend! Noah ran a solid race and finished in 22:08. Boys team won 3rd for the meet. Since Noah isn't going to Idaho next week, he only has 2 more meets of his high school running career.
