It was a wonderful day to be thankful in Grand Junction today. Thankful for family and friends. Thankful for health and well-being. Thankful for life's little victories and daily joys. Thankful to be stronger from setbacks and disappointments. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. And now that we are thankful, off to Walmart!

Grand Junction
Made the trek over the mountains and through the woods, it's to grandmothers house we go. Going to be spending the holiday with Jim and Janet in Junction. Jen and I were able to spend the afternoon yesterday trying out a few adult beverage locations in GJ and Palisade. We started at Kenola Creek, followed by a Meadery in Palisade, the distillery down the block and walked across the parking lot to Palisade Brewery. We even made it home in time to enjoy grandpa's meatloaf!

State XC
While Noah didn't run at state this year, he traveled to Colorado Springs with the rest of the non-runners to cheer the team on. The boys ended up finishing second, to the team from Alamosa. Noah had a great season and was recognized at the banquet for his spirited contributions to the team. As a bonus, the banquet was less then 3 1/2 hours. Thanks to Coach Shanklin and the many assistant coaches that make the season so successful.
Big Brain
This is a picture of a swanky reserved parking spot in the Frontier High School parking lot. It is given to a different student each week from their AP World History teacher based on exceptional performance in her class. Nice work Toby!
Rock of Ages
ROCK ON!! I had no idea what the book/movie/musical was about when we attende the dinner theater at the Mid Town Arts Center in Ft. Collins several weeks ago. It was awesome. So awesome in fact, that I used half the soundtrack at my spin class this week. We had great seats in the front row with the Woods. Even managed to sneak in a quick trip to 1933 Brewing before the show.

Beauty and the Beast
Last night concluded the three night run of the fall middle school drama production of "Beauty and the Beast." Nathanael played the part of Bruno and just killed it. He is so comfortable on stage, knows his lines so well, and knows just how to draw out his speaking parts to receive the maximum response from the audience. It was fun to watch him opposite his acting duo Brock, who playe the Beast. After the show each night, TCBY was the chosen destination for the cast. Practice for the spring musical begins in just 3 weeks!
