More Laramie

It was a busy week for the littles in Laramie. Besides the fun stuff they did in the previous post, there was a trip to the art museum to make art! The farmers market was in full swing downtown. There would have been bike riding, but we couldn't figure out a way to transport the bikes from Greeley to Laramie. Th ask again to mom and dad for hosing the kids for summer camp!

Laramie

The kids have be so fortunate this summer to be able to spend so much time with both sets of grandparents. This past week, the littles were able to attend the 2014 Grandma and Grandpa Roths summer camp. Grandpa did an incredible job of finding things for the kids to do that were fun, educational and affordable. Grandma did a great job of directing traffic as the "cruise director". Here is the first set of pictures from the week. They include the second annual Tea on Tuesday that sis and grandma attended as well as some artwork the kids did and a lively game of mini-golf. They also spent quite a bit of time swimming at the rec center.

Cheyenne

Noah got in some more driving practice on Sunday as we headed to Cheyenne to meet up with mom and dad who had been hosting "summer camp" with Sarabeth and Nathanael. We enjoyed a nice lunch together at 5 guys, then walked around the mall and visited for a couple hours. Thanks again mom and dad for hosting the littles for the week!

Luhms!

Jen, Noah and I were able to spend a pretty fun Saturday with Uncle Ed and cousin Althea while Rebecca was in a conference. We started the afternoon with cocktails at the whiskey bar in Ft. Collins. We then tried out one of the many new breweries in Ft. Collins called Horse and Dragon. Their Sad Panda chocolate porter was very delicious. I then drive them by O'Dells and New Belgium. We finished our brewery tour at Funkwerks where we waited out an afternoon thunder shower and Noah had a light snack.

We picked up Rebecca and spent the evening in Old Town after enjoying a very tasty seafood dinner at Fish. Noah's first taste of oysters on the half shell! Thanks Luhms for a great time together!!

Kids!

Where were the kids while mom and dad were enjoying Mexico, you might ask? No, we didn't leave them in the mini van or at home to fend for themselves. Well, we did leave one at home to keep an eye on the dogs, turtle, house, and to train with the XC team. But he did spend most days at friends houses. The other three kids were able to spend the week in Grand Junctuon with Jim and Janet. They had a great time doing a variety of things. The dry ice was a big hit. So was helping clean up an older lady's house one morning as a service project through Jim and Janet's church. Sarabeth and Janet took the train back to Denver. Jim brought the boys back the next day. Thanks again to everyone for their help. The trip wouldn't have been possible without it!

Dreams-Monday

Our first full day in Mexico was full of exploring the resort and finding out what we had to look forward to throughout the week. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the extensive buffet. Dinner was enjoyed at the Chinese resturant with a bottle of wine. In between we found a great location on the beach and spent the day reading, drinking fruity adult beverages, and trying not to get sunburned. When we returned to our room, the staff had a special decoration waiting for us! We finished the evening by enjoying a comedy show. We seemed to be the only people that were laughing. Oh well. Another fruity drink (all inclusive!!) by the lighted pool and it was bedtime.
