Birthday
Unlike last years birthday extravaganza at Foodies, this years party was a little smaller. We joined Sean and Sarah on a brewery tour of Northern Colorado. Well, that's what it was supposed to be. It turned into a tour of the six breweries in Loveland and Wiley Roots in Greeley. We also stopped for dinner in Windson at Stuft Burgers. It was a great Saturday afternoon trying different beers and seeing what other breweries had to offer. Then some friends met up with us at Wiley for a little party. Favorite beer of the day was the chai porter at Big Beaver. Favorite brewery is still Wiley. Working hard to make their 100 club! Only need 12 more visits to make the wall of fame. Thanks babe for the really fun birth week celebration!

Notes
Leading up to my birthday last week, Sarabeth had the idea to write little notes for me and hide them around the house where I would find them. It was very special and pretty fun to find them in various places: taped to the side of my car, sitting on my coffee pot, taped to my stearing wheel. I love that little girl.

Spirit
Frontier Academy continues to build its school spirit more and more each year. Last week at the home basketball game, they asked the student body to dress up in fun costumes for the game. Then they had to be completely silent until Frontier scored its first basket. Then erupt in as much noise as possible. Here's Noah's crew dressed up keeping POTUS safe.

Parties
Andrew and I made our way to the elementary building this afternoon for the annual Valentines Day parties. Sadly, we missed Sarabeth's class party because they held it an hour earlier then they ever had in the past. Bummer. So we made our way to Nathanael's class and enjoyed some goodies there. Andrew spent the afternoon "visiting" his old teachers, and oh by the way since I'm here can I have some of that pizza or meatballs or soda or whatever? Haha. Silly kid. They all said yes of course.
Today
So this was posted on my Facebook wall today:
Eighteen years ago today, a cute, overly confident freshman told me I looked nice (I was dressed up to give a speech in my Speech 101 class). I'm sure I rolled my eyes and said, "Whatever". He then proceeded to tell me that I should wish him a happy birthday, and for a birthday present, I should go out with him. To which I promptly answered, "No thank you." Well, to make a long story short, this cute, overly confident freshman won my heart, through much hard work I might add! Honey, I love you and I'm so glad you were in that Geography class with me so many years ago. Happy Birthday Cuddlecakes!!!
She also recieved these in class yesterday from her Cuddlecakes:

Party?
We are in that weird couples age when we don't attend friends weddings anymore, but don't have kids old enough to start attending high school graduations. Soon though. So it's a pretty big deal to have a wedding to look forward to this summer. Our friend Kristen will be getting hitched in June. Last weekend was her batchlorette party in Denver. Jen had a blast with the girls in little black dresses and masks! They had a nice dinner and did some bar hoping. At least that's what I was told. Here are some pics from last weekend.
Kids
Just another busy day in Greeley. Nathanael's class celebrated the 100th day of school with balloons. Kid needs a haircut. Sarabeth is still really busy with karate twice a week. Her next testing will be in March. Andrew is having 5! friends over tomorrow night for pizza, computer games and D&D. Noah is running scoreboard for the basketball games at Frontier after winter running club. Jen has night #2 of parent/teacher conferences. The temps got above 0 today too!

Dance
Friday night was the 5th annual Daddy/Daughter dance here in Greeley. Sarabeth had only been looking forward to it since, I don't know, last years ended? So we got all dressed up, I presented her with her corsage, and it was off for a night on the town. We enjoyed a nice dinner together at the brand new Toyko Joes. Then we joined several hundred other dads and daughters for a night of dancing. It was so much fun to spend the evening with just my daughter. We talked, danced, shared a snack halfway through and had our photo taken. She is already planning on what to wear for next years dance!

Tuba
Noah tried out for, and was selected to, the Patriot League all city band. The band was composed of students from around Northern Colorado, including Estes Park, Brush, Greeley, and Ft. Lupton. They practiced together all day last Monday, then presented a pretty good concert that night. Nice work Noah!

Prop #2
Even though the game is going terrible, Nathanael wins prop bet #2 by guessing the total points scored in the first quarter would be 10. Good guys 0, stupid team from Seattle, 8. Come on Denver. Manning looks terrible. 11 yards on 7 plays with an interception.
Prop #1
We have a winner of Super Bowl prop bet #1! Andrew guessed the length of the national anthem the closest. He selected the M&M's. Next prop bet to follow!
SB 48
Been waiting 15 years for another Broncos Super Bowl. Noah was 3 months old when Denver last appeared. Now here we are again. Super Bowl 48. It was a crazy week at work, building more displays, stockpiling product, and making sure all the stores recieved proper coverage this weekend. On average, the two routes I cover would sell somewhere between $75,000-80,000. This week we ran $163,000. BOOM!
But now the chips have been stocked. The party supplies have been purchased. And the cold beer from Wiley Roots has begun to flow.
Campingdads prediction:
Denver Broncos 42
Seattle Seahawks 20
CHAMPIONS.
